Vehicle bus data is collected from an electronic control unit. User input is received to initiate creation of a vehicle health report for describing a vehicle diagnostic event. A voice message descriptive of a context of the diagnostic event is recorded. The telematics controller sends, to a sever, the vehicle health report including the voice message and a subset of the vehicle bus data including a time of the user input.

Method and system for sending vehicle health report

Methods and systems for managing mobile devices for connection with a vehicle are provided. A processor is configured to determine whether a mobile device is within a predetermined distance of the vehicle based on a comparison between the first geographical data of the mobile device and second geographical data of the vehicle. Responsive to determining that the mobile device is within the predetermined distances of the vehicle based on the comparison, the processor is configured to enable Bluetooth functionality on the mobile device.

Vehicle device management

A vehicle includes an engine, an electric machine selectively coupled to the engine, a traction battery, an electrical outlet, and first and second power inverters. The first power inverter is configured to transfer power between the traction battery and the electric machine. The second power inverter is configured to transfer power between the traction battery and the electrical outlet. A human-machine interface (HMI) has a selectable option indicative of a user's desire to use the electrical outlet at a next destination. A controller of the vehicle includes a processor and memory having stored therein a first battery state of charge (SOC) target and a second battery SOC target that is greater than the first SOC target. The controller is programmed to, in response to the selectable option being selected, switch from the first SOC target to the second SOC target and command charging of the traction battery responsive to a measured battery SOC being less than the second target.

A vehicle includes a display including selectable indicia related to a plurality of mobile devices operable to enable a user to select a one of the plurality. The vehicle includes a controller configured to limit internet protocol traffic of the one traversing through a wireless access point within the vehicle to preserve quality of service for messages sent via the wireless access point related to the impact. The limitation is responsive to impact of the vehicle.

The controller activates the sound device in the first mode or the second mode based on a state of the vehicle.

Systems and methods for determining availability of a vehicle charging station are provided. One vehicle system includes a telematics unit configured to wirelessly communicate with a second telematics unit of a second vehicle electrically coupled to a charging station; a processor configured to obtain a remaining charge time from the second vehicle, using the telematics unit; and a display for displaying the remaining charge time in association with information related to the second vehicle. One method includes establishing, using a telematics unit, wireless communication with a second telematics unit of a second vehicle electrically coupled to the charging station; obtaining, using a processor, a remaining charge time from the second vehicle via the telematics unit; and displaying, on a display, the remaining charge time in association with information related to the second vehicle.
