A detonation pickup testing system, comprising: (i) apparatus for coupling to at least one terminal of a detonation pickup; and (ii) a computational system, for communicating with the pickup via with the apparatus, to test at least one characteristic, excluding or in addition to DC resistance, of the detonation pickup.

Detonation pickup tester and methodology

A fuel quality rating testing system and related methodology. The system comprises a data acquisition system, comprising: (i) circuitry for receiving a time-varying signal from a pickup, the pickup for coupling to a test engine; and (ii) circuitry for determining a fuel rating in response to the time-varying signal. The fuel quality rating testing system also comprises a communications path coupled to the fuel quality rating testing system and a calibrator.

A system and method for determining the octane rating of a fuel from a plurality of measurements at a test engine. The measurements may include a plurality of measurements regarding individual knock events, from which waveform attributes regarding the knock events can be determined and used in the calculation of the octane rating. The measurements may also include one or more environmental measurements, such as temperature, humidity, exhaust oxygen, etc., according to which the octane rating may be normalized or that may otherwise be applied into the calculation of the octane rating. The measurements may also include one or more engine property measurements corresponding to the condition of the test engine, according to which the octane rating may be normalized or that may otherwise be applied into the calculation of the octane rating, and that may be used to advise of maintenance events.

Determining the knock rating of liquid spark-ignition engine fuels

A robe-like garment with a liftable back. A draw string internal to the robe drapes over either the left or right shoulder of the wearer, and is attached to the bottom of a rear panel, or at or near the bottom hem of the rear of the garment. To lift the rear of the garment, the wearer pulls downward on the draw cord, which lifts the rear of the garment to expose the back of the wearer, for example to allow the wearer to use a toilet. The rear panel or the rear portion of the garment may be constructed as multiple folding panels, like an accordion, or may simply gather in a vertical manner when raised.

Enhanced access garment

A robe-like garment with a liftable back panel. A draw string internal to the robe drapes over either the left or right shoulder of the wearer, and is attached to the bottom of the rear panel. To lift the rear panel, the wearer pulls downward on the draw cord. The panel then lifts to expose the back of the wearer, for example to allow the wearer to use a toilet. The panel may be constructed as multiple folding panels, like an accordion, or simply gathered in a vertical manner.
