A fire suppressant storage device () comprises: a tank () having a first port (), a second port (), and an interior () for storing fire suppressant. A discharge assembly () is mounted to the first port and comprises: a discharge valve (); and a discharge conduit (). The discharge conduit is at least partially within the interior and has an interior and an exterior. A liquid level measurement assembly is mounted to the second port and comprises: a tube () at least partially within the interior and having: an exterior and an interior sealed relative to the surrounding tank interior. A float () surrounds the tube and has one or more magnets () and having a range of motion. A plurality of magnetic field sensors () are along a carrier () within the tube interior. The carrier extends from a proximal end to a distal end. The plurality of magnetic field sensors () comprise: a first plurality of one-dimensional sensors (); and at least two three-dimensional sensors () distally of the first plurality.

Adaptable suppression tank level sensor

A fire suppressant storage device () comprises: a tank () having a first port (), a second port (), and an interior () for storing fire suppressant. A discharge assembly () is mounted to the first port and comprises a discharge valve () and a charge conduit () at least partially within the interior. The discharge conduit has an interior and an exterior. A liquid level measurement assembly () is mounted to the second port and comprises: a tube () at least partially within the tank interior and having an interior sealed relative to the surrounding tank interior and an exterior; a float () surrounding the tube; and a member () axially movable within the tube interior. A frictional damper for an elevator system includes one or more friction pads configured to move between a first position, and a second position defined by engagement of the one or more friction pads to the guide rail. An actuation unit urges the one or more friction pads into and out of engagement with the guide rail. The actuation unit includes a hydraulic actuator operably connected to the one or more friction pads to urge movement of the one or more friction pads into and out of engagement with the guide rail via hydraulic fluid pressure. The hydraulic actuator includes a hydraulic cylinder containing a volume of hydraulic fluid and a hydraulic piston located in the hydraulic cylinder and operably connected to the one or more friction pads. An electromagnetic actuator selectably urges hydraulic fluid to apply a force to the hydraulic piston, urging the movement of the friction pads.

Electrohydraulic damper for elevator system

An electromagnetic machine includes a universal circuit board and a plurality of universal coils. The universal circuit board includes a first coil configuration imprint and a second coil configuration imprint. The plurality of universal coils each including a positive lead and a negative lead for electrical connection to one of the first and second coil configuration imprints.

An elevator system includes an elevator car having an elevator car subsystem; a guide rail to guide the elevator car along a hoistway; primary windings positioned along the hoistway; permanent magnets coupled to the elevator car, the primary windings and permanent magnets defining a linear motor for imparting motion to the elevator car in response to a drive signal; and secondary windings coupled to the elevator car, the secondary windings generating a current to power the elevator car subsystem.

Wireless power supply for self-propelled elevator

A ropeless elevator system includes a vertically extending first lane, a vertically extending second lane, and a transfer station extending between and in communication with the first and second lanes. An elevator car is disposed in and is constructed and arranged to move through the transfer station and the first and second lanes. A propulsion system of the elevator system propels the elevator car through at least the first and second lanes and carries a supplemental DC energy storage device for providing supplemental energy to the elevator car during normal operation.
