A systems and apparatus for measuring non-electroactive materials in liquids using electrochemical detection. A first electrical activity of a electroactive material is detected in absence of a target non-electroactive material (Step). A second electrical activity of the electroactive material is detected in presence of the target non-electroactive material (Step). A difference between the first and second electrical activities is obtained, and based on the obtained difference, a concentration of the target non-electroactive material is identified (Step).

Electrochemical detection of silica species

This is a method for analyzing the purity of water at the outlet from a purification device. It includes the following steps: a) sending the liquid at the outlet from the filter means to a resistivity measuring cell to determine its resistivity &#x3c1;; b) establishing a reference mode by exposing a portion of the liquid to said oxidation means () during a given number of significantly different time periods; c) determining by regression the resistivity at infinity &#x3c1;of said liquid in this reference mode; d) establishing an analysis mode by causing said liquid to be analyzed to pass through the resistivity measuring cell; e) determining the resistivity at infinity &#x3c1;of said liquid in this analysis mode by successive iterations; and f) calculating the quantity of organic compounds contained in the purified liquid from this resistivity at infinity &#x3c1;and at least the values &#x3c1;and &#x3c1;.

Method and device for measuring the purity of ultrapure water

Disclosed is a device for analyzing the quantity of organic compounds existing in a liquid, such as ultrapure water, at the outlet from a purification device including in series a filter, an oxidizing device and a polishing device, and further including a resistivity measuring device for measuring the resistivity of water to determine the purity thereof. Only one resistivity measuring cell is used, and the outlet points of the filter and the oxidizing device are connected to the resistivity measuring cell by pipes provided with an analysis valve and/or check valves selectively enabling circulation of the liquid within them.

Device for measuring the purity of ultrapure water

The invention relates to a method of measuring the conductivity of a pure or ultrapure liquid, notably water, using electrodes, characterized in that it consists in determining the conductivity by modeling the liquid in the form of an equivalent electrical circuit diagram comprising a resistor R, a capacitor Cp in parallel with the resistor R, and a series capacitor Cs. It also relates to a device for implementing this method and a purification system incorporating such a device.
