A recycling sprinkler system incorporates at least one collection vessel assembly for runoff water, as well as a pump module for recycling a substantial portion of the collected runoff water back into an irrigation sprinkler system along with the primary water source for the irrigation sprinkler system, so that the amount of water required from the primary water source is reduced and a substantial portion of the runoff water is prevented from being discarded.

A photonic true time delay system for steering one or more radio frequency beams from an electronically scanned array antenna incorporates passive optical true time delay modules for the entire array based upon dense-wavelength-division multiplexed encoding of optical time delays. In addition, electronic selection of time delays allows for elimination of optical filter tuning and optical switching, and can function in either or both transmit and receive modes of the antenna array.

Passive photonic dense wavelength-division multiplexing true-time-delay system

A passive wavelength-division multiplexing fiber-optic temperature sensor, as well as a distributed fiber-optic temperature sensing system, incorporates at least one wavelength-division-multiplexing optical coupler, so that any given sensor interfaces optically by at least one designated optical wavelength, thus providing means for any given fiber-optic temperature sensor to be distinguished from other fiber-optic temperature sensors of similar design operating on the same optical fiber system.

A method and apparatus to equalize the voltage across each light bulb in a low-voltage lighting system, commonly found in the yards of private homes and businesses. The present invention consists of a power compensation element that is inserted in-line with each light bulb connected to the bus lines that distribute current from a power source, such as an electrical transformer, to the light bulbs. The function of the power compensation element is to compensate for the voltage drop along the bus lines due primarily to the electrical resistance of the bus lines. Therefore, a compensation rating of the power compensation element may depend upon its location along the bus lines and the electrical resistivity of the bus lines, as well as the internal electrical resistance of the light bulbs. The preferred embodiment is an electrical resistive power compensation element where the rating of the element is its resistance value. One alternate embodiment is an electrical transformer power compensation element where the rating is the transformer ratio of output-to-input voltage, while another alternate embodiment is a diode-based, voltage-limiting circuit power compensation element, typically with equal rating where the rating is the voltage-limiting reference level of the circuit.
