A clutch control mechanism, for manoeuvring an actuating member such as a clutch release bearing, comprises a support member, a tubular driving member, a tubular driven member having a mounting means and, between the driving member and the driven member, camming means of the helical ramp type. The said mounting means comprises a first sleeve adapted to penetrate into the interior of the actuating member and to carry internally one of the cams, while the driving member penetrates into the interior of the sleeve and carries the other cam, the sleeve having an external radial flange, which acts as an abutment for the clutch release bearing and which is coupled in rotation to the support member.

Clutch control mechanism, in particular for motor vehicles

A clutch suitable for automobile vehicles has a reaction plate which rotates with a first shaft, a friction disk which rotates with a second shaft and a pressure plate which rotates with the reaction plate and is movable axially relative to it. An axially acting elastic member urges the pressure plate towards the reaction plate. The elastic member bears on bearing members fastened to the reaction plate in the axial direction and is the circumferentially continuous part of a diaphragm Belleville spring. The bearing members are made from a plurality of distinct circumferentially elongate segments distributed circumferentially around the axis of the clutch. Each is individually attached to the reaction plate.

Clutch, in particular for automobile vehicles

A clutch plate comprises a friction disc and a hub mounted for relative angular movement within a predetermined range. The hub and friction disc are coupled together by first and second stage dampers, the first being lower rated than the second. Each damper comprises a radial flange, two guide washers on respective sides of the flange and springs interposed circumferentially between each flange and its guide washers. The flange of the first stage damper is defined by one of the guide washers of the second stage damper and the guide washers of the first stage are fixed for rotation with the hub. The clutch plate comprises two subassemblies, one comprising the hub and the flange, guide washers and springs of the first stage damper and the other the flange and other guide washer of the second stage damper, the springs of the second stage damper being preferably part of the other subassembly.
