A dissymmetric RN,N-dialkylamides of formula (I) in which: Rrepresents a linear Cto Calkyl, Rrepresents a linear Cto Calkyl, and Rrepresents a linear or branched Cto Calkyl, where Ris different from a n-octyl, n-decyl, n-dodecyl, 2-ethylhexyl and 2-ethyloctyl group when Rrepresents a n-butyl group and Rrepresents an ethyl group. A method for synthesising the N,N-dialkylamides, and uses of same for extracting uranium and/or plutonium from an aqueous acid solution or for fully or partially separating the uranium from the plutonium contained in an aqueous acid solution and a solution resulting from the dissolution of spent nuclear fuel in nitric acid. A method for treating an aqueous solution resulting from the dissolution of spent nuclear fuel in nitric acid, which allows the uranium and the plutonium contained in the solution to be extracted, separated and decontaminated in a single cycle.

The use of carbamides as extractants for fully or partially separating uranium(VI) from plutonium(IV) in an aqueous solution obtained by dissolving a spent nuclear fuel in nitric acid, by method of liquid-liquid extraction, without carrying out any reduction of the plutonium(IV) to plutonium(III). The invention also relates to new carbamides. Uses are the processing of spent nuclear fuels based on uranium (especially uranium oxides&#x2014;UOX) or uranium and plutonium (especially mixed uranium and plutonium oxides&#x2014;MOX).

Carbamides for separating uranium(VI) and plutonium(IV) without reducing the plutonium(IV)

A mesoporous organic material which makes it possible to extract, using the liquid-solid extraction technique, the uranium(VI) contained in an aqueous medium including phosphoric acid, with high efficiency and high selectivity for the iron that the medium can likewise contain. The material is likely to be obtained by cross-linking polymerisation of a monomer of formula (I) below, wherein: R, Rand Rare, independently from one another, H, a Cto Csaturated or unsaturated, linear or branched hydrocarbon group, or a polymerisable group, with the condition that at least one of R, Rand Ris a polymerisable group; Rand Rare, independently from one another, H or a Cto Csaturated or unsaturated, linear or branched hydrocarbon group; the cross-linking polymerisation being carried out in the presence of a cross-linking agent and one or more pore-forming agents.

Novel dissymmetric N,N-dialkylamides which meet the following formula (I): where R represents a linear or branched alkyl group at Cto C. A method for synthesizing these N,N-dialkylamides, and to the uses of same as extractants, alone or in admixture, in order to extract uranium and/or plutonium from an aqueous acid solution, or to totally or separate uranium from plutonium from an aqueous acid solution and, in particular, an aqueous solution resulting from dissolving spent nuclear fuel in nitric acid. Further, a method for processing an aqueous solution resulting from the dissolution of a spent nuclear fuel in nitric acid, allowing the uranium and plutonium contained in the solution to be extracted, separated and decontaminated in a single cycle, without requiring any plutonium reduction operation, and in which one of the aforementioned N,N-dialkylamides or a mixture of same is used as extractant. Applications for the method include the processing of spent nuclear fuels, in particular comprising uranium (e.g. UOX) or uranium and plutonium (e.g. MOX).
