An electrical connector includes a first housing. A second housing is moveable relative to the first housing and includes a travel peg. The electrical connector also includes a lever. The lever includes two lever arms that are joined by a handle. Each of the lever arms is attached to the first housing and allows relative rotational movement of the lever about a lever axis. The lever may be moved from a pre-stage position to a final position. The lever engages the travel peg to move the second housing linearly in an insertion direction from a pre-stage position to a seated position relative to the first housing. The travel peg moves along a peg path when the second housing is moved from the pre-stage position to the seated position. The peg path is located between the lever axis and the handle.

Electrical connector with assist lever

A battery cell stack connector assembly includes a plurality of busbar modules. Each of the busbar modules has a module frame with a first side with a first connector and a second side with a second connector. Each module frame defines a module axis that extends from the first side to the second side. Each of the busbar modules also includes a busbar attached to the module frame. The plurality of busbar modules are connected to form a connector frame that defines a connector axis that extends from a first assembly side to a second assembly side. The module axes of the plurality of busbar modules are aligned with the connector axis. Also, the first connectors and second connectors are adapted so that each of the plurality of module frames is mated with and attached to respective adjacent module frames.

Modular battery connector assembly

An electrical connector includes an electrical terminal and a housing having a front end and a back end with an opening configured to receive the electrical terminal therethrough. The housing includes a first lock system configured to allow insertion of the electrical terminal into the housing and prohibit removal of the electrical terminal from the housing. The housing is configured such that the first lock system is accessible from the front of the housing to release the electrical terminal from the first lock system. A second lock system is configured for insertion into the housing to prohibit removal of the electrical terminal from the housing independently from the first lock system.

Electrical connector

An arbor operably configured to facilitate positioning an element within an open end of a terminal or other device. The arbor may be operable to position the element relative to a groove or another type of difficult to reach area interior the open end. The arbor may include an assembly operable to move the element through the open end to a desired position where the element is freed to be positioned within the groove or other portion of the open end. Optionally, in the event the element is resilient, the resiliency of the element may be relied upon to cause the element to free itself from the arbor using expansion and at the same time secure itself within the groove or other portion of the open end.

An electrical terminal is operable to facilitate electrical connectivity between the terminal and an electrical connector. The electrical terminal may include a cap to facilitate positioning a conducting element, such as but not limited to a coil spring, within a receptacle used to connect to an electrically conducting connector. The conducting element may facilitate electrical connectivity between the inserted connector and the terminal.

An electrical terminal having at least one open end that is configured to receive a connector in an electrically conducting manner. The open end portion of the connector may be configured with differently sized and/or shaped portions to facilitate receipt of connector, such as to receive the connector in a manner that limits misalignment and/or receipt of bent or crooked connectors.

Electrically conducting terminal

An electrical terminal operable to facilitate electrical connectivity between the terminal and an electrical connector. The electrical terminal may include a conducting element, such as but not limited to a coil spring, within a open end used to connect to an electrically conducting connector. The conducting element may facilitate electrical connectivity between the inserted connector and the terminal.

Stamped electrical terminal

An electrical terminal operable to facilitate electrical connectivity between the terminal and an electrical connector. The electrical terminal may include a cap to facilitate positioning a conducting element, such as but not limited to a coil spring, within a receptacle used to connect to an electrically conducting connector. The conducting element may facilitate electrical connectivity between the inserted connector and the terminal.

A connector assembly is provided with a housing having an inlet for receiving an electrical harness, and an outlet for engaging a vehicle receptacle for facilitating electrical charging of a vehicle. The housing includes a plurality of transverse support ribs, a fulcrum and a series of guides. The housing is configured for supporting a distributed load. A latching mechanism, including a lever, linkage and trigger, is externally connected to the housing for selectively attaching the housing to the vehicle receptacle. The lever is pivotally connected to the fulcrum. The linkage is coupled to the lever for pivoting the lever. The trigger is mounted for translation and includes a series of apertures each sized for receiving one of the guides. The trigger actuates the linkage. A shell is disposed over the housing for retaining the latching mechanism to allow repair and/or replacement without exposing electronic components enclosed in the housing.
