Disclosed are derivatives of isosorbide having formula (I) wherein R' and R&#x2033; represent hydrogen or a polymeric ether moiety (CH&#x2014;CHR&#x2014;O)&#x2014;H, where Rrepresents hydrogen, or an alkyl or alkenyl moiety having 1 to 33 carbon atoms, which is saturated or unsaturated, branched or linear. This polymeric ether moiety can be a homopolymer or a copolymer, with x being the total degree of polymerization (DP). Preferred is a block copolymer composed of monomer A (DP=a), preferably ethylene oxide or propylene oxide, and monomer B (DP=b), preferably a saturated or unsaturated, branched or linear alkyl or alkenyl moiety having 1 to 33 carbon atoms, where x=a+b. x is a number from 0 to 50, with the proviso that R&#x2032; and R&#x2033; are not both hydrogen. The isosorbide derivatives are useful as components of detergent, cleanser, cosmetic and agricultural compositions.

Isosorbide derivatives

Disclosed are isosorbide derivatives according to the following general formula wherein R represent a hydrogen atom, or an alkyl group with 6 to 22 C-atoms, or an acyl group, or a group X&#x2014;SOM, and M stands for a cation, a hydrogen atom or an alkali metal atom or an ammonium or an alkylammonium ion, and X represents an alkoxylated derivative (AO)wherein AO represents a group CHO, or CHO, or any mixtures thereof, and the index n is zero or 1 to 20, and p represents a number between 1 and 10, preferably between 1 and 4, and the use thereof to prepare cleansers, detergents, personal care compositions, or cosmetic compositions.

Anionic isosorbide derivatives and their use

Disclosed are isosorbide glyceryl ether derivatives according to the following general formula (I), wherein R or R' represent a hydrogen atom, or an alkyl or an acyl group with 6 to 22 C-atoms, and n and m represent independent from each other zero, or a number from 1 to 4, and the use thereof in cleansers or detergents or personal care applications. 

Isosorbide glyceryl ether derivatives and their use in household applications

Isosorbide monoesters according to the general formula (I) wherein R' or R&#x2033; represent a hydrogen atom, or an group CO&#x2014;R&#x2032;&#x2033;, with the proviso that one group R&#x2032; or R&#x2033; is a hydrogen atom, and R&#x2032;&#x2033; represents linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated alkyl- or alkenyl groups with 6 to 22 C-atoms are useful compounds in the preparation of all kind of detergents, in particular dish washing detergents or of cosmetic preparations. 

Isosorbide monoesters and their use in household applications

Disclosed are isosorbide derivatives of formula (I) wherein R and R' independently represent an isosorbide moiety, a hydrogen atom, or an alkyl group having 6 to 22 carbon atoms, and A stands for hydrogen, an alkali metal, ammonium or alkylammonium, with the proviso that at least one of R and R&#x2032; is an isosorbide group. Also disclosed is the use of compounds (I) for the preparation of cleansers, detergents, personal care compositions, and cosmetic or pharmaceutical compositions.

Anionic isosorbide derivatives and their use (II)

The application pertains to the use of isosorbide ethers according to general formula (I) wherein R' and R&#x2033; independently from each other represent a hydrogen atom or a alkyl- or unsaturated alkenyl moiety for the preparation of detergents and cleaners. Preferably R&#x2032; and/or R&#x2033; are linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated alkyl or alkenyl moiety containing 1 to 33 C-Atoms. A second, independent embodiment pertains to the use of these compounds as thickener for aqueous/surfactant compositions.
