The present invention relates to new hybrid, organic-inorganic hybrid silicates and metal-silicates characterized by a crystalline structure containing structural units having formula (a), wherein R is an organic group possibly containing one or more element T selected from Group IIIB, IVB, VB and from transition metals. A process starting from cyclic trisilanes for the preparation of said materials, is also described. These materials can be used as molecular sieves, adsorbents, in the field of catalysis, in the field of electronics, in the field of sensors, in the area of nanotechnology. 

Hybrid, organic-inorganic, crystalline, porous silicates and metal-silicates

The present invention relates to a process for the separation of gases which comprises putting a mixture of gases in contact with a zeolite of the ESV type to obtain the selective adsorption of at least one of the gases forming the gaseous mixture. The present invention also relates to particular zeolitic compositions suitable as adsorbents.

Process and zeolitic materials for the separation of gases

The present invention relates to new organic-inorganic hybrid silicates and metal-silicates called ECS, characterized by an X-ray powder diffraction pattern with reflections exclusively at angular values higher than 4.0&#xb0; of 2&#x3b8;, preferably at angular values higher than 4.7&#xb0;, and an ordered structure containing structural units having formula (a) wherein R is an organic group: Formula (a) and possibly containing one or more elements T selected from groups III B, IV B, V B and transition metals, with a Si/(Si +T) molar ratio in said structure higher than 0.3 and lower than or equal to 1, wherein Si is the silicon contained in the structural unit (a). A process is also described, starting from disilanes, for the preparation of these materials, which does not include the use of templates or surfactants. These materials can be used as molecular sieves, adsorbents, in the field of catalysis, in the field of electronics, in the field of sensors, in the field of nanotechnologies.

Organic-inorganic hybrid silicates and metal-silicates having an ordered structure

A process is described for the synthesis of mesitylene, characterized in that mesitylene is obtained starting exclusively from pseudocumene, without the use of any other chemical compound, operating in continuous, at a temperature ranging from 225 to 400&#xb0; C., at a pressure ranging from 1 to 50 bar, at a weight space velocity ranging from 0.1 to 10 hours, and in the presence of a catalyst containing a zeolite selected from ZSM-5 zeolite having a crystal lattice based on silicon oxide and aluminum oxide, and ZSM-5 zeolite modified by the partial or total substitution of Si with a tetravalent element such as Ti or Ge and/or the partial or total substitution of Al with other trivalent elements, such as Fe, Ga or B.

Process for the production of mesitylene

A process is described for the contemporaneous preparation of mesitylene and durene, characterized in that mesitylene and durene are obtained exclusively starting from pseudo-cumene without the use of any further chemical compound, operating in continuous, at a temperature ranging from 210 to 400&#xb0; C., at a pressure ranging from 1 to 50 bar, with a weight space velocity ranging from 0.1 to 20 hoursand in the presence of a catalyst based on crystalline metal-silicates in acid form. After the recovery of mesitylene and durene from the reaction raw product, some of the remaining components of the raw product itself are recycled and fed to the reactor together with the pseudo-cumene.
