The present disclosure is drawn to 3D printing kits, multi-fluid kits for 3D printing, and methods of making 3D printed articles. In one example, a 3D printing kit can include a powder bed material, a fusible fluid, and a magnetic fluid. The powder bed material can include polymer particles. The fusible fluid can include water and a radiation absorber. The fusible fluid can be to selectively apply to the powder bed material. The magnetic fluid can include magnetic particles, and the magnetic fluid can be to selectively apply to the powder bed material.

Three-dimensional printing

The present disclosure is drawn to 3-dimensional printed parts that can include a conductive composite portion and an insulating portion. The conductive composite portion can include a matrix of fused thermoplastic polymer particles interlocked with a matrix of sintered elemental transition metal particles. The insulating portion can include a matrix of fused thermoplastic polymer particles that are continuous with the matrix of fused thermoplastic polymer particles in the conductive composite portion. The insulating portion can be substantially free of sintered elemental transition metal particles and can include transition metal oxide bronze particles.

3-dimensional printed parts

An electrokinetic device is configured as a dynamic lens cover and/or filter for an imaging assembly, e.g., of a mobile device, to selectively allow electromagnetic radiation to pass through a lens of the imaging assembly when the dynamic lens cover is in a first operating state or to prevent electromagnetic radiation from reaching the lens of the imaging assembly when the dynamic lens cover is in a second operating state. The electrokinetic device includes transparent first and second substrates, and a compaction trench surrounding the lens of the imaging assembly. The compaction trench stores pigment when the dynamic lens cover is in the first operating state. In the second operating state pigment is dispersed within a carrier fluid between the first and second substrates.

Applications of an electrokinetic device for an imaging system

A strain sensor can include a resistor, a first electrical contact at a first end of the resistor, and a second electrical contact at a second end of the resistor. The resistor can be formed of a matrix of sintered elemental transition metal particles interlocked with a matrix of fused thermoplastic polymer particles.

Strain sensors

Embossing resins, methods of manufacturing such resins, and electrokinetic display system, which includes display cells containing such resins. The resins include a fluoropolymer in weight percentage 5%-60%, a difunctional diluent in weight percentage 0-30%, a monofunctional diluent in weight percentage 0-40%, a urethane diacrylate or functionalized nanoscale material, e.g., a functionalized urethane material, in weight percentage 5-50%, a photoinitiator in weight percentage 0.5-5%, and a surfactant in weight percentage less than 0.5%. The difunctional diluent may be Hexanediol Diacrylate, and the monofunctional diluent may be a monofunctional hydrocarbon. The resins are made by identifying a target index of refraction for a cured state thereof, and combining together, by weight percentage, the constituent components to produce the liquid state version of the embossing resin having a desired composite index of refraction.

Refractive index matched resin for electrophoretic displays and other applications

The present disclosure is drawn to material sets for 3-dimensional printing. The material set can include a thermoplastic polymer powder having an average particle size from 20 &#x3bc;m to 200 &#x3bc;m, a conductive fusing agent composition including a transition metal, and nonconductive fusing agent composition. The nonconductive fusing agent composition can include transition metal oxide bronze particles.

Material sets

According to an example, a three-dimensional (3D) printed heater may include a part body formed of fused thermoplastic polymer particles and an electrically resistive element formed of a matrix of conductive particles interspersed between a matrix of thermoplastic polymer particles. The conductive particles and the thermoplastic polymer particles may be provided at respective densities to cause the electrically resistive element to have a predetermined resistance level. The 3D printed heater may also include electrical contacts connected to the electrically resistive element, in which a current is to be applied through the electrically resistive element via the electrical contacts to cause the electrically resistive element to generate a predefined level of heat.

3-dimensional printed heater

The present disclosure is drawn to material sets for 3-dimensional printing, 3-dimensional printing systems, and 3-dimensional printed parts. A material set can include a thermoplastic polymer powder having an average particle size from 20 &#x3bc;m to 100 &#x3bc;m, an x-ray contrast ink including a jettable x-ray contrast agent, and a fusing ink. The fusing ink can include a fusing agent capable of absorbing electromagnetic radiation to produce heat.

A 3-dimensional printed load cell part can include a part body formed of fused thermoplastic polymer particles, and a plurality of strain sensors separately formed of a matrix of conductive particles interlocked with a matrix of fused thermoplastic polymer particles. The plurality of strain sensors can have a first electrical contact at a first end and a second electrical contact at a second end. The particles of the plurality of strain sensors can be continuously fused to the particles of the part body.
