A system and method for feeding a composite fluid to a mold for casting a reinforced composite structure, such as a rotor blade for a wind turbine are provided. The system includes a first feeding unit for feeding a first flow of composite fluid to the mold through a first mold inlet, and a second feeding unit for feeding a second flow of composite fluid to the mold through a second mold inlet. The first flow of composite fluid and the second flow of composite fluid are individually controllable.

System and method for feeding a fluid to a mold for molding a reinforced composite structure

A mixing device is provided for a closed resin infusion process. The mixing device includes a bulk mixing head with a mixing cavity, at least two separate non-return valves for opening and closing a respective channel for providing material to be mixed running into the mixing cavity. A removable flange is provided for closing the mixing cavity comprising a fitting for mounting the mixing device to a static mixer. At least one heating element is provided for curing the hardable material mixture in the mixing cavity if need be.

Mixing device and method for a closed resin infusion process

An apparatus for degassing of gaseous components from at least one curable material, particularly a curable material for building a composite part, for example, a rotor blade for a wind turbine, is provided in an embodiment herein. The apparatus includes at least one degassing chamber having at least one inlet for introducing a curable material for building a composite part, the curable material containing gaseous components into the degassing chamber and at least one outlet for removing a degassed curable material from the degassing chamber and at least one mechanical splitting means adapted to mechanically split up gaseous components contained within the curable material so as to release the gaseous components from the curable material.
