Aspects of the disclosure relate to a multi-functional bracket, such as for a battery pack. The disclosed bracket may allow for a simplified and more efficient assembly process for the battery pack using a plastic snap-fit main body, while providing both structural integrity for the pack using a overmolded reinforcement feature, and mounting and alignment for fluid manifolds for the battery modules.

Multi-functional component for battery packs

Aspects of the disclosure relate to a configurable battery pack. The configurable battery pack may include an enclosure that is formed from housing structures that can be selectively chosen to form an enclosure of various sizes, for enclosing various numbers of battery modules and/or battery cells.

Configurable battery pack

Aspects of the disclosure relate to an enclosure for a battery pack. The enclosure may include one or more casted portions, such as a casted front member and a casted rear member. The casted portions may provide benefits including reducing a number of seal paths on the enclosure, facilitating serviceability of various electrical components from a bottom of the battery pack, reducing a number of parts of the enclosure, facilitating efficient battery pack assembly, facilitating connector placement for ergonomics and/or damage protection, facilitating placement of vents, providing casted in lid, lung, and/or skid plate attachments, and/or improving strike reinforcement features.

Battery pack enclosure

An apparatus can include a body. The body can include a top portion and a base. The top portion can define a cavity. The cavity can be configured to receive a component. The apparatus can include a spring element that extends from at least one of the top portion and the base of the body. The spring element can be disposed at least partially around the cavity. The spring element can be configured to bias the component to an initial position and facilitate movement of the component when a load is applied to the component.

Manifold bracket

Aspects of the disclosure relate to a service port for an electrical power supply such as a battery. The service port may be an integrated pressure equalization and electrical probe port. In one or more implementations, the service port may include a housing have an open bore within which an electrical header is disposed. A gap may be provided between the electrical header and the housing to allow airflow though the service port into and/or out of an internal chamber of the electrical power supply for pressure equalization of the internal chamber. In one or more implementations, a breather element may be disposed in a distal end of the housing of the service port.

Integrated electrical probe and breather port

Grounding a component, such as a thermal management system, of a battery pack via a coolant is provided. An apparatus can include a body forming a channel to convey coolant within a battery pack. The apparatus can include a conductor electrically coupled to a ground. The conductor can include a lead into the channel to ground the coolant.

Thermal management in battery components

Various disclosed embodiments include cover assemblies for an electrical busbar connection, busbar connector assemblies, and battery systems. In an illustrative embodiment, a cover assembly for an electrical busbar connection includes an electrically insulative busbar cover configured to receive therein an end of an electrical busbar. Electrically insulative fastener receptacles extend from the busbar cover, each fastener receptacle being sized to receive therein a fastener assembly, each fastener receptacle defining therein a first opening at a first end distal the busbar cover and a second opening at a second end proximal the busbar cover, the first opening being sized to permit insertion therethrough of a tool to turn a fastener assembly, the first opening being further sized to prevent insertion therethrough of a finger of a human. Electrically insulative retaining tabs extend into an interior of each of the fastener receptacles intermediate the first opening and the second opening.
