A dishwasher, including: a dishwashing compartment having a loading opening; a door configured to close the loading opening; a bottom washware rack configured for movement out of and into the dishwashing compartment; a middle washware rack configured for movement out of and into the dishwashing compartment; and a top washware rack configured for movement out of and into the dishwashing compartment. The top rack is formed of wire thereby to hold washware including cutlery and to enhance drying performance. The spacing between an inner surface of a top wall of the dishwashing compartment and an upper surface of a deepest portion of the top rack is in a range of 79.0 mm to 83.0 mm. The top rack is formed with a notch section along at least one side in a bottom portion thereof, and include an angled portion to hold bowls at a slight tilt with respect to horizontal.

A dishwasher rack includes a frame and a support rail disposed along sides of the frame. A plurality of cutlery baskets are coupled to the rail. Each cutlery basket is movable from a respective first location on the rail to a respective second location on the rail. The cutlery baskets may be removable to enable a user to adjust a ratio of cutlery storage area to crockery storage area as desired. Also, the cutlery baskets may be arranged to revolve along a perimeter of the rack so that a user can load empty baskets at the same location.

A dishwasher includes a treatment chamber configured to clean dishes; a rack in the treatment chamber configured to hold dishes, the rack including an upper horizontal bar, a lower horizontal bar and a vertical bar; and a stop removably attached to the rack. The stop includes a first latch that is latched to the upper horizontal bar, a second latch that is latched to the lower horizontal bar, a third latch that is latched to the vertical bar, and a stopper portion that extends below a lowest wire in the rack and is configured to abut a portion of the dishwasher to limit travel of the rack out of the dishwasher.

A dishwasher includes an independent presoak system which may be activated by a user of the dishwasher. The dishwasher presoak system utilizes a storage tank, supply tubes, and set of nozzles which are independent from components used in a washing cycle such that a presoak detergent is applied to items placed within a washing compartment of the dishwasher without being diluted by a standard wash cycle. As part of the presoak system, the dishwasher features a detection system which allows the user to select an automatic presoak operating state whereby the dishwasher utilizes a sensor to determine if items placed into the washing compartment are sufficiently dirty to need a presoak cycle prior to a washing cycle. The dishwasher further relies on a control system to analyze samples taken of the dirtiness levels of items placed within the washing compartment and determine whether a presoak option is necessary or suggested.

A domestic dishwasher includes a wire rack that does not include any rolling elements that would otherwise allow the rack to roll between an extended position and a retracted position. Instead of rolling elements, the rack includes sliding surfaces that slide along corresponding surfaces inside the dishwasher and/or on a dishwasher door. The rack may be a lowermost rack.

A folded sheet panel assembly includes a gap formed in a corner region which is filled with a corner insert member. A retention clip is attached to the corner insert to retain the corner insert once installed in the gap. The retention clip includes outwardly flaring wing portions which press upon inner surfaces of the sheet panel to fix the installed position of the corner insert. The corner insert includes a locking device which engages a surface of the retention clip to limit or prevent movement of the corner insert relative to the retention clip.
