The asphalt compactor may include a control system communicatively coupled to the one or more sensors including a grade sensor configured to determine a slope of the asphalt surface within the compacting area in at least the direction of travel of the asphalt compactor, the control system configured to: receive data indicative of the slope of the asphalt surface in at least the direction of travel of the asphalt compactor from the grade sensor, determine if the slope of the asphalt surface is one of an incline slope or a decline slope in the direction of travel, if the slope is determined to be the incline slope, determine if the incline slope exceeds a first threshold for the incline slope, and if the incline slope exceeds the first threshold for the incline slope, control a vibratory system to stop vibration of the trailing drum.

A work machine may include a source of electrical power, a ground engaging traction system, and an implement for performing work. The work machine may also include one or more motors operable to use the electrical power from the power source to operate the ground engaging traction system to cause the work machine to travel along the ground and operable to use the electrical power from the power source to operate the implement. The work machine may also include a reserve power component configured to receive a reserve power amount from a user or automatically determine the reserve power amount, compare an available power amount to the reserve power amount to establish a comparison, and issue alerts or impart controls on operation of the work machine based on the comparison.

A working machine includes an auxiliary system carried by the working machine, one or more batteries and an onboard thermal transfer system. The one or more batteries power an electrical system of the working machine. The onboard thermal transfer system utilizes a coolant configured to remove at least a portion of heat generated by the one or more batteries during charging or discharging of the one or more batteries and using the coolant heated by the thermal transfer system to heat the auxiliary system.
