A power system including a selective reduction catalyst and an exhaust gas mixer positioned downstream thereof. The exhaust gas mixer includes an inlet opening a plurality of peripheral inlet openings and a plurality of swirler guides. The inlet opening is positioned to receive a first portion of exhaust gas exiting the SCR catalyst, while the plurality of peripheral inlet openings are positioned to receive a second portion of exhaust gas exiting the SCR catalyst. The swirler guides extend radially inwards from a respective peripheral inlet opening, so as to swirl the second portion of exhaust gas about and into the first portion of exhaust gas.

Exhaust gas mixer

An exhaust treatment device includes an insulation material positioned between an inner shell and an outer shell. An inlet tube has an end in communication with a cavity defined by the inner shell. A substrate for treating engine exhaust is positioned within the inner shell. A metal mounting ring is positioned between the inner and outer shells and includes a mounting provision for receipt of a fastener.

Exhaust treatment device with integral mount

An exhaust aftertreatment device has a unitary cast inlet that is configurable to have a 90&#xb0; or 180&#xb0; entry of combustion gasses relative to flow through tubular elements housing a diesel oxidization catalyst and a diesel particulate filter. The cast component provides the primary structural support for a tubular element connected to the casting element.
