A starting device for an internal combustion engine includes a pulley mounted rotatably in a housing which can be set in rotation by a tension means to produce a drive torque for a motor shaft by a starter handle and which is connected to an engaging member by a damping spring. The drive torque is transmitted to the motor shaft to start the internal combustion engine, whereby under torsion of the damping spring, a twisting of the pulley against the engaging member is rendered possible until a stop element impacts against a counter-stop to delimit the twisting, which enables a high operational readiness of the starting device. In the case of a defect of the damping spring, the stop element and/or the counter-stop is formed from a material which has a higher strength than the material of the engaging member and/or the material of the pulley.

A starting device for at least one combustion engine, in particular cable pull starting device for at least one two-stroke or four-stroke engine, with at least one cable sheave or cable drum rotatably mounted in a housing, which for generating a driving fork for a crankshaft can be put into rotary motion by means of at least one starter handle or pulling handle via at least one force transmission means, in particular via a starter cable or pulling cable and is connected to at least one driving member, in particular to at least one pawl driver via at least one elastic coupling element, by means of which the driving torque can be transmitted to the crankshaft, the coupling link having two ends, wherein an end is in engagement with the driving member and another end with the cable sheave or the cable drum.

A supply device for a handheld power tool for a cutting grinder includes a cutting tool and a protective cover which at least partially surrounds the cutting tool. The supply device includes a U-shaped element which can be arranged on the protective cover and via which a fluid medium can be supplied to the cutting tool. The U-shaped element has a connection piece on which a coupling element can be arranged. On the coupling element a pipeline can be connected via which the fluid medium can be supplied to the U-shaped element through the connection piece. The coupling element can be turned about the axis of rotation of the connection pieces.

The invention relates to a braking apparatus, in particular for implements of motor-driven tool units comprising an arm having at least one bearing disposed therein for rotatable mounting of an axle and comprising a flange fastened on the rotatably mounted axle, wherein the axle and/or the flange are drivable by means of a drive motor, wherein a first friction element is firmly connected on the arm and a second friction element is connected to the axle and/or to the flange, wherein the first and the second friction element come into frictional contact with one another or not depending on the action of centrifugal force on at least one flyweight.

In order to provide an actuating device for a choke valve of a carburetor for motorized equipment, in particular a cut-off grinder, wherein the choke valve is movable between at least a closed position and an open position by an operating element via a mechanical coupling from the operating element to the choke valve, which overcomes the disadvantages of the prior art, it is proposed that the mechanical coupling has a separating arrangement which is in operative connection with the motorized equipment such that the mechanical coupling between the operating element and the choke valve can be interrupted or respectively closed as a function of different operating states of the motorized equipment.

A braking device is provided for braking or immobilizing a shaft in a work tool, particularly a saw chain, hedge shears or the like. The braking device has a brake band that at surrounds at least part of an area of the shaft, in which the brake band forms an effective plane, and two brake band holders with which the brake band may be placed under tension and released, in which at least one brake band holder is constructed movably, and in which a movable brake band holder is arranged with little space requirement in the braking device. At least one brake band holder is mounted outside the effective plane of the brake band so that it is rotatable about the axis of rotation or about an approximately parallel axis or shaft and/or so that it is able to be moved in a linear direction on a plane that is approximately orthogonal with the shaft.

In order to design a starting device for at least one combustion engine, more preferably cable-operated starting device for at least one two-stroke or four-stroke engine with at least one cable disc or cable drum rotatably mounted in a housing, which for generating a drive rotational moment for an engine shaft can be rotated by means of at least one starting handle or pulling handle, via at least one force transmission means, more preferably via a starting cable or pulling cable and which is connected via at least one elastic coupling link with at least one driver link, more preferably with at least one pawl driver, by means of which the drive rotational moment can be transmitted onto the engine shaft, the coupling link has two ends, wherein an end is engaged with the driver link, as light as possible through direct operational connection of force transmission means and elastic link/coupling link it is proposed that another end of the coupling link is engaged with the cable disc or the cable drum and the force transmission means.

Starting device for combustion engine

A portable implement is provided that includes a guide rod having a tool element arranged on one end and a motor for driving the tool element arranged on the other end. A holding element for holding the portable implement is arranged between the tool element and the motor. A connecting element is arranged on the guide rod or on the holding element, for connecting the holding element with the guide rod. The connecting element, in a first position of an operating element, is connected with the guide rod displaceably in a longitudinal direction on the guide rod. The connecting element, in a second position of the operating element, is releasably fixed on the guide rod.

In order to provide an intake system for sucking in combustion air of an internal combustion engine of a piece of equipment, in particular a portable, manually guided piece of equipment, having more than one centrifugal separator comprising a centrifugal separator housing, and having an air filter device comprising an air filter housing, which bounds an air filter receiving space for an air filter, in which the combustion air can be separated by means of the centrifugal separator into a core volume stream and an outer volume stream, wherein the core volume stream is fed to the internal combustion engine through the air filter receiving space, which intake system is as compact as possible and correspondingly designed to be not very component-intensive, it is proposed for the centrifugal separator housing to be arranged on the air filter housing such that it ends directly at the air filter receiving space or projects directly into the air filter receiving space.

Intake system for sucking in combustion air and manually guided piece of equipment

In order to provide a handheld work machine that does not require expensive start circuitry for the critical start-up phase of the combustion engine, and in which nevertheless the required constant supply voltage for the engine is present in order to achieve optimum starting behavior, a handheld work machine is provided with at least one combustion engine which in operation requires a supply voltage, and with a voltage generator that supplies a generator voltage that depends on the rotary speed of the combustion engine, which generator voltage is used to generate the supply voltage, wherein the handheld work machine is electrically connected to an additional voltage source that prior to starting the combustion engine provides the required supply voltage that at this point in time is not yet present.
