A passenger seat system for a cabin of a means of transportation includes: a passenger seat having a seat frame having a holding section and a plurality of supporting elements for coupling to a floor; and, a slide device spaced apart from the holding section and having a base and a retaining device, to be detachably fastened to the base and be coupled to a supporting element. The base has a contact surface for laying onto a cabin seat rail, a locking device for locking the base on the seat rail, and a holding device for releasably holding the retaining device. The slide device is designed to lock the retaining device on the holding device selectively in a first or a second position or to release the retaining device and, when the retaining device is released, to permit motion of the retaining device between the first and the second positions.

A vehicle cabin seat arrangement includes a seat rail having a first and a second side faces; a group of passenger seats held on the seat rail by holding devices resting on a top side of the seat rail; pluralities of first and second holding blocks arranged on the first and second side faces, respectively; and a plurality of stop blocks arranged on a bottom side of a holding device To every passenger seat two first or second holding blocks are assigned, between which a holding device coupled with the passenger seat is displaceable. The respective holding device, includes one of the stop blocks arranged on the bottom side of the holding device such that the stop block is bringable into contact with the two assigned holding blocks on moving the holding device on the seat rail. Passenger seats are alternatingly assigned with first and second holding blocks.

A seat rail adapter for flexibly mounting an object onto a seat rail, a seat arrangement and a cabin arrangement with same are described. The seat rail has a U-shaped profile with a lower flange, two web portions, two upper flanges, a gap between the upper flanges, and a cavity inside the seat rail. The seat rail adapter includes two mounting parts capable of being inserted through the gap into the cavity inside the seat rail, such that, when inserted, a hook portion of each of the mounting parts is engaged with the cavity, and a shaft portion of each of the two mounting parts extends through the gap to outside the seat rail. Further, the shaft portions include a rounding so as to allow insertion of one mounting part into the cavity by a swivel movement, when the other mounting part is already inserted therein.

A passenger seat including a holding device for a media reproducing apparatus, includes a base holding fixture attached to a backrest of said passenger seat, at least one adapter adapted to be detachably connected with said base holding fixture, said adapter being configured for holding said media reproducing apparatus at said base holding fixture, a standardized electronic interface to the power supply of said media reproducing apparatus, and a protective shutter fixedly connected with said backrest. The protective shutter is adapted to be moved from an open position in which access to said adapter and said media reproducing apparatus is allowed, into a closed position in which said media reproducing apparatus and said adapter are completely covered by said protective shutter. The protective shutter is of break-proof configuration and made at least partially from a translucent material such that a screen is visible through said protective shutter in the closed position.

A rail cover for a seat rail includes a cover element for completely covering a longitudinal portion of the seat rail.
