An electrical switching device has a first interrupter unit for interrupting and connecting an electrical line, in particular an air-insulated grounding switch. A method for switching an air-insulated grounding switch assures that no arc owing to a voltage flashover is produced on the air-insulated grounding switch. A second interrupter unit, which is connected in parallel with the first interrupter unit, can be switched such that resultant striking of an arc during switching only takes place in the second interrupter unit.

Electrical switching device

An electromagnetic drive system contains an armature that can be displaced along an axis. The armature contains a piston-shaped section. The piston-shaped section is guided in a cylindrical section of the stator. A recess extends through the piston-shaped section substantially in the direction of the axis. The incorporation of the recess results in that a fluid cushion that builds up in front of the piston-shaped section during rapid movement can be relieved through the piston-shaped section.

Electromagnetic drive device

The invention relates to a magnetic actuating device containing a reference element and an adjusting element which is movably disposed between first and second end positions with respect to the reference element. The reference and/or adjusting elements contain a magnetizable material. A drive coil is provided for generating a magnetic field that moves the adjusting element from the first to the second end position. A mechanical clamping device is provided for producing mechanical forces that move the adjusting element from the second to the first end position. A fixing device is provided with a permanent magnet for generating a holding force fixing the adjusting element in the second end position with respect to the reference element. The fixing device contains a fixing unit separated from the adjusting element and provided with the permanent magnet.

Magnetic actuating device

An electromagnetic linear drive contains a stator and an armature. A relative movement between the stator and the armature can be effected. An air gap is formed between a surface of the armature and of the stator at least during a relative movement. The air gap is slanted with regard to the direction of the relative movement.

Electromagnetic linear drive

An electric supply circuit is provided for a switch actuating device containing an actuator, an electromagnetic drive for displacing the actuator from a first switching position to a second switching position, and a mechanical return device for returning the actuator from the second switching position to the first switching position. A magnetic fixing unit is provided for fixing the actuator in the second switching position and an electromagnetic releasing device is provided for releasing the fixation. The electric supply device contains a first capacitor electrically connectable to the electromagnetic drive and used for supplying electric power thereto and a second capacitor that is electrically connectable to the releasing device and supplies electric power thereto for releasing the fixation. An electric switchable connection is provided between the first and second capacitors.

Electrical supply circuit, switch activating apparatus and method for operating a switch activating apparatus

The invention relates to a linear magnetic drive consisting of an iron core and a coil. A yoke and a constant magnet are connected to a movable armature. When the armature is placed in a first terminal position, it is supported by magnetic forces produced by the constant magnet and the yoke which is used as a bridge in the iron bore.
