An uninterruptible power supply includes a first power converter, a second power converter, and a DC-to-AC converter coupled to the first power converter and the second power converter. The first power converter includes a first AC-to-DC converter and a transformer having a primary winding coupled to the input and the output, and a secondary winding coupled to the first AC-to-DC converter. The first power converter is configured, during a first mode of operation of the UPS, to provide a first portion of the AC input power as the AC output power via the primary winding and convert a second portion of the AC input power into DC power via the first AC-to-DC converter. The second power converter includes a second AC-to-DC converter and is configured to convert the AC input power into DC power via the second AC-to-DC converter during a second mode of operation of the UPS.

According to one aspect, a power device is provided. The power device includes an input having at least a first connection and a second connection, and configured to be coupled to an AC power source to receive input AC power, a converter circuit coupled to the input and configured to convert an input AC voltage to a DC voltage, a load output configured to provide output power derived from the DC voltage, a rectifier circuit coupled to the input and having a first output and a second output, and a first capacitor coupled to the first output of the rectifier circuit and the second output of the rectifier circuit.

According to one aspect, embodiments of the invention provide a UPS comprising a plurality of inputs, a PFC converter configured to convert 3-phase input power into DC power, an inverter coupled to a positive DC bus and a negative DC bus and configured to convert the DC power received from the positive DC bus and the negative DC bus into output AC power, a first output configured to provide a first portion of the output AC power from the inverter to a load, a second output configured to provide a second portion of the output AC power from the inverter to the load, a third output configured to be selectively coupled to a neutral line via the inverter, and a controller configured to operate the inverter to generate current between the load and the neutral line via the third output and the inverter.

A heat dissipation device for a heat-generating component includes at least one helically-shaped air tube having a length. The at least one air tube is thermally coupled to the heat-generating component to dissipate heat from the heat-generating component. A configurable rack for supporting components of an uninterruptible power supply includes a frame assembly having a front and a rear. At least one of the front and the rear is configured to receive electronic modules in stacked relation along a height of the frame assembly. The configurable rack further includes a busbar backplane disposed between the front and the rear. The busbar backplane extends vertically within the frame assembly and is configured to be electrically coupled to the at least one electronic module received within the front and/or the rear of the frame assembly.

According to one aspect, embodiments of the invention provide a UPS system comprising a first input, a second input, an output, a power module coupled to the first input, wherein the power module is configured to condition power provided to the input of the power module and provide conditioned power to an output of the power module, and a static bypass switch module selectively coupled to the first input and the second input, wherein, in a first mode of operation, the static bypass switch module is configured to couple the second input to the input of the power module, and provide a second input power to the input of the power module, and wherein, in a second mode of operation, the static bypass switch module is configured to provide a first input power to the output of the UPS system, through the bypass switch module, bypassing the power module.
