The invention relates to epoxide-amine adducts obtainable by reaction of one or more primary amines (A) of general formula (I)Q-NH&#x2003;&#x2003;(I)with one or more monoepoxides (B) of general formula (II) wherein Q is a radical R-[OEt][OPr][OBu]-, in which Ris a radical selected from alkyl radicals having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, OEt is an ethylene oxide radical, OPr is a propylene oxide radical and OBu is a butylene oxide radical, n is a number from 0 to 100, m is a number from 3 to 50 and s is a number from 0 to 20 and n+m+s=3 to 170, R is an organic radical selected from aliphatic radicals having 4 to 24 carbon atoms, aromatic radicals having 6 to 18 carbon atoms and araliphatic radicals having 7 to 34 carbon atoms, and p is 0 or 1, wherein (i) the primary amine(s) (A) and the monoepoxide(s) (B) are reacted in an equivalents ratio (A):(B) of from 1:2 to 1:1.35; and (ii) at least 40 mol % of the radicals R are selected from aromatic radicals having 6 to 18 carbon atoms and araliphatic radicals having 7 to 24 carbon atoms; and optionally subsequent salification and/or quaternization and/or modification of the reaction product. The invention furthermore relates to wetting agents and dispersants comprising or consisting of the epoxide-amine adducts and also to the production of the wetting agents and dispersants and to the use of the epoxide-amine adducts and the wetting agents and dispersants for the production of dispersions. The invention also relates to dispersions and particle formulations comprising the epoxide-amine adducts and wetting agents and dispersants.

Monoepoxide-monoamine adducts as wetting agents and dispersants

The invention relates to polyesters of the following general formula, wherein the residues R, R, R, R, R(as a special case of residue R), R, Rand Rare free of carboxy, hydroxy, thiol, imino, and primary and secondary amino groups, the residues R(as a special case of R) and Rcontain hydroxyl groups, 10 to 100 mol % of which can be present in salt form analogously to polymers or otherwise capped, u=0 or 1, v=1 to 60 and w=1 to 20. The invention further relates to wetting agents and dispersants that contain the aforementioned polyesters or consist thereof and to a method for producing said wetting agents and dispersants, to the use of the polyesters and reaction products of the method according to the invention as wetting agents and dispersants, and to compositions containing the polyesters, wetting agents and/or dispersants or reaction products of the method according to the invention and particulate solids.

Low-VOC mixture of at least partially salified copolymers of at least one ethylenically unsaturated, phenyl-group-containing monomer and at least one &#x3b1;,&#x3b2;-unsaturated monocarboxylic acid and/or at least one &#x3b1;,&#x3b2;-unsaturated dicarboxylic acid, of at least one water-soluble polyether, esterification products of at least one water-soluble polyether and an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid, and of a star polymer obtainable by esterifying a carboxylic acid containing at least 3 carboxyl groups with at least one water-soluble polyether, and use thereof as a wetting and dispersing agent, preferably for producing low-VOC pigment pastes or low-VOC paint systems.

The invention relates to stable dispersions of inorganic nanoparticles, comprising inorganic nanoparticles in a dispersion medium, the dispersions being admixed with at least one stabilizer from the group of (i) modified, more particularly hydrophobically modified, preferably urea-modified polyurethanes and (ii) modified ureas, more particularly urea urethanes, and also mixtures and/or combinations thereof, and also to the use of these dispersions.
