A sheet-processing machine includes a conveyor for transporting processed sheets at a processing speed and for releasing the sheets for braking to a depositing speed. A braking element serves for the braking of the released sheets to the depositing speed. A drive is provided for the braking element, and a drive connection is provided for connecting the drive to the braking element. Further included are an overrunning clutch in the drive connection, and a brake for retarding the braking element.

During an adjustment of the second wheel, with an increase in the center-to-center distance in a first case and with a reduction in the center-to-center distance in a second case, the drawing-device pretensioning remains approximately unchanged as a result of a reduction in the looping of the drawing device around the drawing-device tensioner in the first case and an increase in the looping of the drawing device around the drawing-device tensioner in the second case, absent any change in location of the drawing-device tensioner. A machine such as a sheet-processing rotary printing machine has the drawing-device mechanism.

A delivery for a machine processing flat printing materials includes a suction belt conveyer having conveying runs forming a support surface. To remove rejects or proof sheets as required, the delivery transports the materials along a transport path over a stack that is otherwise built up and transfers the sheets to the support surface. The physical position of the support surface can be varied while maintaining its generatrix. Therefore, the support surface can be adjusted in each print job to a working position in which secured transfer of removed printing materials to the suction belt conveyer is ensured. In a particular configuration, a latching device is provided that permits the conveying runs to escape from their working position in the event of a jam. Preferably, the latching device has a latching pin and a latching recess.

The delivery for a sheet-processing machine, such as a sheet-fed rotary printing press, has several braking devices which are movable transverse to a sheet transport direction. The delivery also has a sheet guiding elements that respectively cover the interspaces between adjacent braking devices at a level of the top edges. The sheet guiding devices are formed from a flexible tape material. The length of the tape transverse to the direction of sheet transport and seen from above is adjustable to the spacing between the adjacent braking devices.

An apparatus for transmitting a torque from a drive shaft for a component of a printing machine to a hollow body surrounding the drive shaft, includes a coupling configuration. The coupling configuration is formed through the use of driver elements, engages in a longitudinally displaceable manner on the drive shaft and couples the latter to the hollow body. In order to use such an apparatus for torques which are not constant, according to a first variant, the coupling configuration includes a coupling ring surrounding the drive shaft, a first subgroup of driver elements coupling the drive shaft to the coupling ring, and a second subgroup of driver elements coupling the coupling ring to the hollow body. According to a second variant, the driver elements couple the drive shaft directly to the hollow body and are resilient in an at least substantially radial direction and in the circumferential direction of the drive shaft, relative to an axis of rotation of the drive shaft.
