An emergency localization device for initiating an emergency measure, wherein the emergency localization device comprises a control unit, at least one acceleration sensor and at least one position sensor, the control unit being configured to receive a plurality of motion and/or position parameters from the acceleration sensor and/or from the position sensor, and by evaluating the plurality of motion or position parameters to determine a risk level for an emergency using a predefined logic, and to initiate an emergency measure if the calculated risk level exceeds a predefined threshold. The emergency localization device is reliable, robust and largely independent of aircraft-mounted systems.

A display device for displaying an activation status of an emergency chute in an aircraft has an optical display device, an acoustic signal device, a sensor for sensing proximity of a person to the display device, and an electronic unit. The electronic unit is configured to operate the optical display device or the acoustic signal device when the detected proximity of a person is less than a predetermined limit distance. The optical display device, the acoustic signal device, the sensor, and the electronic unit form a compact unit that can be integrated into a door panel of an aircraft door.

Retrofittable display device for displaying an activation status of an emergency chute in an aircraft

An indicating device for indicating a non-authorized opening of an aircraft door comprising a sensor for detecting a distance from the sensor to an object, a signaling device, a reset device coupled to the signaling device allowing the signaling device to be set into a first state following a reset operation, an enabling device, providing as an output signal, selectively, a disable signal and an enable signal, and a control device connected to the sensor, the signaling device and the enabling device. On receiving the disable signal, the control device changes into a first operating mode and on receiving the enable signal it changes into a second operating mode in which, based upon the signal received from sensor, it detects a distance change between the sensor and the object, and, on detecting a change, sets the signaling device into a second state until the reset operation is completed.

An apparatus for determining the position of an object having one or more magnetic elements. The apparatus includes magnetostrictive optical sensors, each arranged to produce a signal which is indicative of a proximity of the sensor to the one or more magnetic elements. The apparatus is arranged to determine the position of the object based on a plurality of such proximity signals.

Position sensing

A device for indicating an activation status of an aircraft emergency slide. The indicating device comprises an optical and/or acoustic signal emitting device, a status signal input, with a first input signal for an emergency slide activated state, and a second signal for a deactivated state, and a control, connected to the signal device, and to the status signal input, and configured to operate the signal device as a function of the status signal received, to indicate the status signal state. The indicating device comprises an inclination angle measurement device connected to the control for determining the inclination angle about a predetermined axis and provide an inclination angle signal output. The control determines, based on the determined inclination angle, whether a predetermined inclination angle has been exceeded for a predetermined time period and outputs, via the inclination angle signal output, a predetermined output signal only when this has occurred.
