A container assembly for a vehicle, having a container which is arranged in a closed cavity of a vehicle body structure, and methods for producing a vehicle body structure having such a container assembly for a vehicle. At least one mechanical interface having a container-side first attachment part and a vehicle-side second attachment part is provided, which is embodied both for fastening the container on the vehicle body structure and also for filling and/or emptying the container.

A method for joining at least two structural parts includes a fitting step in which a joining element is driven into the first structural part while a residual material thickness is maintained, and a joining step in which the joining element driven into the first structural part is connected to the second structural part. The joining element has a hollow element shaft, which is driven into the first structural part, and an element head, which is welded or adhesively bonded to the second structural part.

In a method for connecting an attachment part to a structural part of a bodywork, a wall of the structural part is formed to at least partly encircle a region of the structural part. A form element is arranged to a main body of the attachment part. The attachment part is placed in the region of the structural part such that the form element touches the wall of the structural part, and the attachment part is pushed into the region, thereby causing the form element to move in relation to the main body of the attachment part until reaching an aperture in the wall of the structural part so that the form element moves into the aperture and is arranged therein to thereby position the attachment part in the region of the structural part.

The invention relates to a connection comprising at least two components having the following features: a first component and a second component, of which at least the second component comprises reinforced plastic, a self-piercing connection element having a head and a shaft, the head thereof being supported on the first component and the shaft thereof running completely through the first and the second component, and a disc-shaped counter bearing to which the shaft is fastened such that the at least two components are fastened between the head and the counter bearing. The invention further relates to a method for the production of said connection.

The invention relates to a connection comprising at least two components having the following features: a first component and a second component, of which at least the second component comprises reinforced plastic, a self-piercing connection element () having a head and a shaft, the head thereof being supported on the first component and the shaft thereof running completely through the first and the second component, and a disc-shaped counter bearing to which the shaft is fastened such that the at least two components are fastened between the head and the counter bearing. The invention further relates to a method for the production of said connection.
