A manual passive continuous action quick adjustment device for adjusting elements in or on motor vehicles without a separate drive unit comprises a worm rotatably disposed within a housing. The worm comprises a locking region that is configured to engage a locking element disposed within the housing. The worm comprises a toothed section that is threadably engaged with a toothed section of an oppositely oriented toothed segment lever that is connected to the particular device requiring adjustment. The locking region may comprise a circumferential groove near an end portion of the worm and the locking element may comprise a slide configured to accommodate frictional engagement with the groove. The locking region may comprise the front faces of the toothed section of the worm frictionally engaged by a slide. A second locking region may comprise front faces adjacent to ends of the worm frictionally engaged by edge portions of the housing upon radial displacement of the worm by activation of the slide. Alternatively, the toothed segment lever or worm itself may comprise an eccentric member that when activated causes either the lever or worm to be displaced towards one another to block rotational movement of the worm.

Manual passive quick adjustment device

A displacement device for use with windows and sliding roof for motor vehicles includes a toothed rack disposed within the vehicle in a direction parallel to the displacement direction. A motor-gear housing is positioned adjacent the toothed rack and includes an electrical driver, a central shaft positioned perpendicular to the rack, and a pinion gear on the shaft that is engaged with the toothed portion of the rack. The rack and housing include guide surfaces that are positioned to correspond with one another. A guidance element is attached to the housing and the rack is interposed between the guide surfaces of the housing and the guidance element to control and guide the movement of the housing vis-a-vis the rack during activation of the electrical drive. Attachments extend from the housing and are configured to accommodate placement of an edge portion of a window therein. A flexible ribbon-like electrical power cable extends from the housing in a direction parallel with the window and rack and is configured in a loop to minimize the space required within the vehicle for displacement operation of the housing and window.

Electrically-operated displacement device for windows or sliding roofs

The invention relates to a device for fastening a window of a motor vehicle in the guide device of a window lifter, consisting of retaining legs disposed on opposite sides of the lower area of the window, at least one of said retaining legs having an opening which can be engaged by a connecting element for retaining the window, wherein at least one upper part of at least one retaining leg is embodied to be resilient and supports an insertion section oriented in the direction of the lower edge of the window and essentially extending parallel with it. One feature of the invention is that the opening can comprise two cutouts, instead of one, in order to reduce the number of variations of catches required for use with window lifters. Another feature of the invention is that a connecting element for retaining the window in the guide device of a window lifter is already connected with the window prior to the window's insertion into the gap between the retaining legs. In a fastened state, the connecting element engages the cutout(s) of the retaining leg(s). Bolts inserted in a hole of the window, elements glued to the window or elements formed out of the window itself are examples of connecting elements.
