Embodiments are disclosed for caching multimedia content. An example in-vehicle computing system that adaptively caches multimedia data, the in-vehicle system including a memory, a position sensor, a receiver, and a processor. The position sensor provides a position signal indicative of a present location of the system. The receiver wirelessly receives multimedia data from a remote multimedia data source. The processor stores the received multimedia data in the memory, transfers multimedia data in the memory to a queue for playback when an amount of multimedia data saved in the memory is at least a first threshold value, and adjusts a size of the memory when a wireless communication channel is not available between the system and a remote multimedia data source.

Adaptive bandwidth consumption optimization for wireless data connections

A method for protecting moderator access using a communication device. The method includes: displaying an interface for editing a conference call profile, the conference call profile including conference call scheduling information including one or more addressees for communicating with a conference call server, wherein the conference call scheduling information further includes a moderator access code and a participant access code; generating an indicator for the conference call profile for excluding sending of the moderator access code to invited participants; and storing the conference call profile including the indicator in a memory of the communication device. A communication device can be configured to perform the method.

Method and apparatus for protecting moderator access for a conference call

A method, mobile device, and conferencing system are provided for automatically establishing a conference event having a plurality of invitees. In one implementation, a method is provided for determining whether an invitee of a conference event is a moderator of the conference event. A method and a communication device are provided for creating a conference call profile from a communication device, wherein the communication device includes a memory for storing an event record. The method includes: identifying from the event record one or more addresses for communicating with a conference call server; generating a conference call profile having one or more address fields and populating the address fields with the addresses; and storing the generated conference call profile in the memory. A communication device can be configured to perform the method.

In a communications system for a motor vehicle, the communications system includes: an interface for exchanging data between the communications system and a mobile telephone; a display with an assigned controller for displaying an image of the mobile telephone, the image including at least one control element, or for displaying a portion of an image of the mobile telephone, the portion of the image also having at least one control element; and a touch screen, which is located above the display and serves to operate the mobile telephone by touching the touch screen in the area of the displayed control element or by pressing upon the touch screen in the area of the displayed control element.

A voice recognition method that is used for finding a street uses a database including information about a plurality of streets. The streets are characterized by respective street names and street types. A user provides a voice input for the street that the user tries to find. The voice input includes a street name and a street type. The street type is recognized by processing the voice input. Streets having the recognized street type are then selected from the database and a street name of at least one of the streets selected from the database is recognized by processing the voice input.

A method for join selection of a conference call from a communication device, wherein the communication device includes a memory for storing an event record.
