The present invention provides a rotary feeder system having a rotor housing with an intake opening and means for discharging material spaced apart side walls. A rotor is positioned with its radially extending blades disposed within the rotor housing and its two ends of its shaft each extending through an aperture in one of the side walls. The shaft bearing and interconnection to the rotating means are each disposed outwards of the rotor housing and the apertures are sealed about the rotor shaft by a sealing assembly comprising a washer, a seal having a first and second ring wherein the second ring extends inward beyond the inner circumference of the first, said ring merging into a flange pressing upon said washer, and a retaining plate which bears against the second ring, tightening it against the washer. The washer and second ring of the seal are preferably formed of tetrafluoro-ethylene resin, and all joints between components within the rotor housing are welded to fill any crevices. The present invention also provides a rotary feeder wherein the gear shaft of the drive is received in a bore within the rotor shaft and these two shafts are precisely aligned by an alignment pin that is lodged through a bore in these shafts when the bores of the separate shafts are properly aligned, which permits the feeder to be disassembled for cleaning and then reassembled without resetting tolerances.

A vacuum cleaner and refuse and debris collection and disposal device and system utilizing a vacuum cleaning unit, with intake for both wet and dry materials, utilizing a motor-driven blower to create a vacuum in a sealed vacuum chamber and a separate internal debris collection container which is removable without disturbing the sealing properties of the vacuum chamber. The container is alternatively emptyable or disposable, thereby providing minimal interruption in the operation of the vacuum cleaner unit, no relocation of the unit when dumping is necessary and the use of replaceable, or disposable internal collection containers subject to wear and tear without disturbing the sealing properties of the vacuum chamber.

Industrial vacuum cleaner

In a system for moving large quantities of pulverulent material from receiving hoppers, such as those of a fly ash precipitator, into a pressurized air conveyor pipeline, separate auger conveyors move material from a first line of receiving hoppers and from a second line of receiving hoppers downstream into gravity material inlets at opposite ends of an effectively airtight pressure conveyor casing. In the casing auger conveyor flights of opposite hand and substantially smaller than the casing means it toward a central outlet through which it drops into the pressurized air conveyor pipeline. Above the outlet the auger conveyor shaft has radial material agitating rods. The system is cycled to alternately feed material into the pressure conveyor casing at receiving hopper pressure, which is about atmospheric pressure, and out of the pressure conveyor casing at pipeline pressure. The pressure conveyor is pressurized through a series of air pressure pipes spaced along the casing substantially tangent to the lowermost part thereof, and casing pressure is relieved through a pipe above the central outlet.

A system for moving large quantities of pulverulent material from receiving hoppers, such as those of a fly ash precipitator, into a pressurized air conveyor pipeline. Separate auger conveyors move material from a first line of receiving hoppers and from a second line of receiving hoppers into gravity material inlets at opposite ends of an effectively airtight casing of a pressure mechanical conveyor wherein auger conveyor screws of opposite hand move it toward a central outlet through which it drops into the pressurized air conveyor pipeline. The auger conveyors and the pressure conveyor augers operate continuously; and the system is cycled to alternately feed material into the pressure conveyor casing at receiving hopper pressure, which is about atmospheric pressure, and out of the pressure conveyor casing at pipeline pressure. The cycles of two or more pressure conveyors are out of phase with one another so they feed material into the pipeline consecutively to provide level pipeline flow. If the material comes from precipitator hoppers which are filled by material dropping from a gas stream, the airtight pressure mechanical conveyor is at the upstream ends of the lines of receiving hoppers.
