A sleeve for frictionally coupling a ceramic disk to a cylindrical shaft. The sleeve is constructed of a rigid plastic, preferably ABS with a void content to permit compression when mounting between the shaft and disk. The void content is between 25% and 50%, preferably between 40% and 50%.

A fuel hose assembly having a swivel coupling for interconnecting the gasoline dispensing nozzle with the coaxial hose of the pump, with the swivel coupling retaining the inner and outer hose in their spaced apart positions thereby defining separate passageways while permitting the hoses to rotate relative to each other and permitting the dispensing nozzle to rotate and swivel relative to coaxial hose connection to a fuel dispensing pump.

Pump hose swivel connection

A mast for use on a gasoline pump or pedestal wherein one end of a fuel dispensing coaxial hose is supported by the mast while the other end of the coaxial hose has a nozzle connected thereto. The nozzle has a boot which collects the vapors for conveyance back to the coaxial hose while the nozzle dispenses the gasoline. The mast supports the coaxial hoses in a vertical attitude and permit the pivoting of the hoses about a vertical axis which prevents twisting or kinking of the coaxial hoses since it rotates inside of the mast and has means for assuring continuous passage of the vapors and the liquid fuel without interruption during manipulation of the fuel dispensing coaxial hose and nozzle.

Support for gasoline pump

A pump end swivel for mounting either on the island or on the gasoline pump pedestal adjacent to the island. The swivel has a base member with an elbow assembly rotatably journaled therein. The elbow assembly has concentric inner and outer elbow members for connection to the liquid fuel and fuel vapor recovery lines of a coaxial hose. Stop means are provided to limit the rotation of the elbow assembly and the coaxial hose connected thereto relative to the base member of the pump end swivel.

Pump end swivel for hose

A fuel hose assembly having an inner and outer hose that have their respective ends secured to a coupling member that retains their ends in spaced apart positions thereby defining separate passageway while permitting the hoses to rotate relative to each other. The coupling member has means for rotating the fuel hose assembly relative to their connection to a fuel dispensing pump and vapor recovery system such that the one hose will convey the liquid fuel while the other hose will convey the fuel vapors that are displaced from the tank being filled with the liquid fuel. Sensing means are provided to prevent the flow of the liquid fuel via the vapor recovery passageways.

Anti-pollution service station assembly

A flexible skirt assembly for surface effect vehicles having an upper and lower skirt. The upper skirt cooperates with the vehicle body to form a pressurized chamber. The lower skirt has a plurality of segments with adjacent ones having common supports. The upper and lower skirts are supported by a plurality of horizontally spaced cables and with such cables supporting the segments at their upper edges.

Gas-cushion vehicle skirt

A nonmetallic friction member is constructed of a bulk graphite component bonded to a resin impregnated carbon cloth component. The friction member is particularly useful for brake and clutch devices, especially multiple disc-type brakes for aircraft. The member may be in the form of a rotor or stator. If driving slots are provided, the member may be reinforced with resin impregnated carbon cloth at these slots.
