A motor vehicle front end subassembly includes a support surround (), an air-ducting panel () and a radiator () which are arranged one behind the other across the support surround (), and a motor fan unit () arranged facing an opening () of the panel (), the panel (), the motor fan unit () and the radiator () being supported by the support surround (). At least one of the radiator () and the motor fan unit () are supported by the support surround () separately from the panel ().

Motor vehicle front end subassembly

The motor vehicle front-end panel includes a structure () to be fixed to body elements () of the vehicle, a cassette () and at least one cooling element () for cooling the engine which is connected to the cassette () and chosen from a radiator or a condenser, the structure () including: &#x2014;an upper transverse crossmember (), &#x2014;a U-shaped element () fixed beneath the upper crossmember () and including a lower transverse beam () and two side struts () connecting the lower beam () to the upper crossmember (), the U-shaped element () and the upper crossmember () forming a frame () to which the cassette () is attached. This structural element comprises a first () and a second () metal member, whose regions () overlap and a reinforcing piece () of plastics material which is overmoulded on the first and second metal members, the reinforcing piece comprising at least a portion () for connecting the metal members. The overlap region () of the first member () comprises at least an anchoring recess () . The overlap region () of the second member () comprises at least a discrete zone () set-back from the second metal member () for securing the plastics material, and the connecting portion () extends into the set-back zone () in order to be engaged in the anchoring recess (). Used, for example, in the construction of front faces.
