An apparatus for removing an inner sheathing of electrical conductors of a preferably multi-core cable comprises at least one holding arrangement/clamping device for axial and rotational clamping of the cable and a cutter assembly () that can be rotated about the cable longitudinal axis, to the cutters of which a force can be applied in the direction of the cable axis.
