There is provided a measurement apparatus for obtaining conductivity measurements of a surface of a structure. The apparatus has a housing, and a pair of support legs depending from the housing. Each support leg has a first end, wherein the first ends define a support leg plane. The apparatus has a pair of conductive measurement probes slidably disposed between the support legs, and at least one force applying member coupled to the housing. The at least one force applying member applies a biasing force to cause the pair of conductive measurement probes to extend a predetermined distance beyond the support leg plane. A downward applied force applied to the housing, when the conductive measurement probes are in contact with the surface, causes a displacement of the conductive measurement probes, until the first ends of the support legs contact the surface. Conductivity measurements between the conductive measurement probes are consistently obtained.

A sound-attenuating composite structure may comprise a honeycomb core assembly having a plurality of honeycomb cells defined by sidewalls, wherein the honeycomb core assembly is sandwiched between an inner impervious skin and a perforated outer skin. The sound-attenuating composite structure may further comprise a ceramic foam insert received in each of the honeycomb cells at a predetermined insertion depth to form an obstruction therein. Each of the ceramic foam inserts may have a predetermined thickness defined between substantially flat top and bottom surfaces. The sound-attenuating composite structure may have predetermined acoustic performance characteristic that are controlled, at least in part, by the predetermined thickness and the predetermined insertion depth.

Apparatus for uniformly blending and applying a mixture of a two part resin and radar absorbing fibers to a surface. The fibers retain their length distribution after mixing and application. The unreacted resin base and catalyst components of the resin, one or both of which are premixed with the fibers, are brought together in a dispenser which then conducts them to an in line motionless mixer element and from there to a nozzle which has an output orifice sufficient for the desired length of the fibers to retain the desired size distribution of the fibers in the applied resin. The apparatus is also capable of applying other types of fibers or other solid materials within the liquid polymer matrix with minimal breakage to the solid component.
