Winder for an endless lane of a plastic web (), with a revolving unit (), which is constructed so as to be rotatable about its axis () and has at least two winding shafts (to' to&#x2032;) running parallel to its axis, onto which winding cores () can be loaded, then wound with the web () to a roll (), finally unloaded therefrom again as finished rolls (), wherein on both sides of the revolving unit () support arrangements are arranged, in which the winding shafts (to&#x2032; to&#x2032;) are supported at their corresponding ends therein, and wherein the support for one end of the winding shafts (to&#x2032; to&#x2032;) is constructed so as to be detachable, such that the respective winding shaft (to&#x2032; to&#x2032;), with released support, can be loaded and unloaded from this end, characterized in that the detachably constructed support arrangements each have a gripper arrangement (to) with a two-armed scissor unit (to), the scissor arms () of which surround the winding shaft (to&#x2032; to&#x2032;) in the closed position and are pivoted away therefrom in the open position.

Winder and a turret unit

The present invention relates to a method and a device for producing a roll () made of a material web () of flexible material which is guided via a contact roller () of a winder and is wound in the said winder to form a roll (), wherein the contact roller () maintains contact with the roll () during winding and the wrap angle (&#x3b1;) of the material web () passing over the contact roller (), as the former is progressively wound, is maintained throughout at a variable reference value predetermined for each winding. In this way the wrap angle (&#x3b1;) for the winding can be adapted to the respective composition of the material web (), which improves the quality of the winding.
