A surgical apparatus for hair removal surgery includes an extraction module, a visualization component and a bridging component. The extraction module includes independently controllable coring and clipping devices. The visualization component acts to align a target hair follicle with the extraction module. The extraction module also includes at least one independently controllable suction port. The instrument also includes a dissection module having a tissue separating device.

Systems and methods for aligning hair follicle are provided. The systems may include at least one piercing member. The piercing member may be configured to pivot about a pivot axis. The piercing member may be operable to translate along a chosen axis, wherein the chosen axis may intersect with the pivot axis. The translation of the piercing member in a first direction may enable the piercing member to pierce through an external surface of a skin, and translation of the piercing member in a second direction may enable the piercing member to retract out of the skin.

A surgical apparatus includes an elongated member (), a dissection module (), and an extraction module (). Systems and methods for extracting hair follicle from underneath an external surface of the skin are provided. The systems may include a first member and a counter pressure device. The first member may define a first bore and may have a longitudinal axis. A portion of the first member may be configured to be moved below an external surface of a skin. The first member may be configured to translate at least in a first direction along the longitudinal axis through a tissue and rotate about the longitudinal axis. The counter pressure device may be configured to interface with at least the external surface of the skin such that the tissue is disposed between the first member and the counter pressure device. The translation and rotation of the first member may result in cutting at least a portion of the tissue.
