The invention features a hot melt adhesive composition based on olefin polymers that can be used for elastic attachment in the manufacture of a disposable article. The hot melt adhesive includes from about 3 to about 10% by weight of a first propylene-based copolymer having a melt index measured by ASTM D1238 (190&#xb0; C., 2.16 kg) of no greater than about 5, a second propylene-based polymer with a viscosity at 190&#xb0; C. of no greater than about 5000 cps, a first tackifying agent having a softening point of at least about 90&#xb0; C. and from about 5% by weight to about 20% by weight of a plasticizer.

A hot melt wetness indicator composition that includes a water insoluble thermoplastic polymer, an anionic surfactant, a leuco dye, and a component selected from the group consisting of acid, rosin-based tackifying agent, plasticizer and combinations thereof, and is homogeneous is disclosed. The hot melt wetness indicator composition exhibits a color change after contact with water.

Disclosed is a disposable absorbent article including two substrates; and an adhesive composition including a first polymer that is propylene-based and has a Mw of no greater than about 75,000, and a second polymer that is propylene-based and has a Mw of at least about 100,000, where the adhesive composition is used for at least two applications in the disposable absorbent article and is delivered via a molten bulk tank.
