In a method of treating erectile dysfunction in a patient, a predetermined course of external counter-pulsation treatment is applied to a lower body portion of the patient. After the predetermined course of external counter-pulsation treatment is applied, a predetermined course of low intensity shockwave treatment is applied to a penile area of the patient. After the course of low intensity shockwave treatment, a predetermined course of carboxy therapy is applied to a corpora cavernosa of the patient.

Method for treating organic erectile dysfunction

In a method of treating a patient having low blood flow that may be caused by diffused plaque and/or a plaque mass associated with Peyronie's disease in a penile region, a predetermined amount of carbon dioxide is injected into affected corpus cavernosum at a location that is adjacent to, but spaced away from the plaque mass. In addition, either before and/or after the injection of the carbon dioxide, a decalcifying agent(s) may be injected directly into the plaque mass.

Method for stimulating blood flow in a penile region of a patient

In a method of treating a patient having diffuse plaque and/or a plaque mass associated with Peyronie's disease in a penile region, a battery of tests is performed to quantify an initial state of parameters associated with Peyronie's disease in the patient. Low intensity shock wave therapy is applied to the plaque mass in the penile region, thereby softening the plaque mass and disrupting any calcification in the plaque mass. Carbon dioxide is injected into the plaque mass. The battery of tests is repeated to quantify a current state of parameters associated with Peyronie's disease in the patient and the current state is compared to the initial state. The aforementioned treatment steps are repeated until the current state differs from the initial state by at least a predetermined amount.

Method for treating Peyronie's disease

A spinal treatment system for treating a spinal region of a patient's back includes a harness configured to be coupled to a preselected location on the patient. A force transfer member is coupled to the harness and is configured to transfer force to the harness. A vibrational movement head is controlled by a computer and is configured to apply a preselected laterally vibrating force to the force application member extending therefrom. A vertical displacement member is coupled to the computer and is configured to move the vibrational movement head to a preselected vertical displacement relative to the patient.

Spinal distraction structure

A spinal treatment apparatus for applying a force to a patient includes a base portion, a telescoping support, a spinal distraction device and an actuator. The telescoping support is mounted on the base portion and includes a bottom member and a top member. The top member is engaged with the bottom member so that the top member has a retracted position and an extended position. The telescoping support is capable of withstanding a force, corresponding to the spinal treatment force, imparted on the top member, while in both the retracted position and the extended position. The spinal distraction device is mounted on the top member and applies the spinal treatment force to the patient. The actuator moves the top member vertically relative to the bottom member.

Integrated lumbar combined variable angular distraction structure

A self-examination device including (i) a first layer formed of two sheets of material connected to form a plurality of enclosures encapsulating fluid therein and (ii) a second layer composed of a sheet of material opposing the first layer and attached to the first layer along a first portion to form a cavity between the first and second layers. The second layer is unattached to the first layer along a second portion to form an opening to the cavity to receive at least a portion of a hand to enable a person to perform a self-examination via the enclosures of the first layer.

Self-examination device

A cervical traction device includes a base, a cervical force application member, and a motor operably attached to the cervical force application member. The motor preferably drives the cervical application member through a direct drive system in order to provide a force to a person's cervical vertebra. The cervical traction device may also include a linear actuator for elevating the person's head to direct the force applied to the cervical vertebra. When integrated on a vertebral distraction machine, the cervical traction device includes its own motor for applying force to the cervical vertebra.

Cervical distraction device

A therapeutic traction table for the treatment of low back pain includes a bed pivotable from a vertical to a horizontal position for facilitating the placement of a person in a horizontal position on the bed. An upper body harness and underarm supports anchor the upper body of the person to the bed. A lower body harness is attached to the lower body pelvic portion of the person, and includes an inflatable air bladder for positioning within the posterior cavity of the lumbar spine formed between the lower back of the person and the bed for relaxing low back muscles during a pulling force on the spine. A traction unit includes a strap connected to the lower body harness for providing a pulling force between the upper body and the lower body. The traction unit is vertically movable from a position generally along an axis of the spine to a vertically displaced position for pulling at a pre-selected and measurable angle to the axis of the spine and isolating the pulling force to a preselected portion of the spine during a programmable back treatment protocol.
