The present invention is related to a catalytic process, which includes catalytic compositions for depolymerisation and deoxygenation of lignin contained in the biomass for obtaining aromatic hydrocarbons. The catalytic composition includes at least one non-noble element from Group VIIIB of the periodic table supported on a mesoporous matrix composed of an inorganic oxide, which can be alumina surface-modified with a second inorganic oxide with the object of inhibiting the interaction between the active component and the support. The process of lignin depolymerisation includes dissolving lignin in a mixture of protic liquids, reacting it in a reaction system by batch or in continuous flow at inert and/or reducing atmosphere, at a temperature of between 60 to 320° C. and a pressure of from 5 to 90 kg/cm.

Lignin depolymerization and deoxygenation process for obtaining aromatic compounds and their catalytic reaction composition

The present invention is related to a catalytic process, which includes catalytic compositions for depolymerisation and deoxygenation of lignin contained in the biomass for obtaining aromatic hydrocarbons. When the reaction is developed into a batch system, oxygenated aromatic hydrocarbons are mainly produced, both by thermal as well as catalytic depolymerisation, whereas in a continuous flow reaction system, deoxygenated aromatic hydrocarbons are produced.

Lignin depolymerisation and doxygenation process for obtaining aromatic compounds and their catalytic reaction composition

The present invention relates to a catalytic formulation used in the hydroprocessing of light and middle oil fractions, preferably in hydrodesulfurization and hydrodenitrogenation reactions to obtain diesel with ultra low sulfur content less than or equal to 15 ppm in weight. The catalytic formulation, object of the present invention, consists of at least one metal of Group VI B and at least one metal of Group VIII B and one element of Group V A of the periodic table deposited on a support based on surface modified alumina with an inorganic oxide of a metal of Group II A, IV A and/or IV B. And containing an impregnated organic compound containing at least one hydroxyl group and at least one carboxyl group and that can contain or not at least one sulfide group in its structure. The catalytic formulation, object of the present invention, allows processing of the oil fractions with initial and final boiling temperatures between 150 and 450&#xb0; C., with initial nitrogen and sulfur content between 1 and 3% by weight and 200 to 600 ppm, respectively, reducing sulfur content to concentrations lower or equal to 15 ppm and nitrogen concentrations to lower than 1 ppm.

Procedure for obtaining a catalytic formulation for the production of ultra low sulfur diesel, obtained product and application thereof

The invention relates to a method of preparing a catalytic composition comprising at least one non-noble metal from group VIII and at least one metal from group VIB of the periodic table. The invention also relates to the catalytic composition thus produced, which has a high specific activity in reactions involving the hydroprocessing of light and intermediate fractions, preferably in reactions involving the hydrotreatment of hydrocarbon streams, including hydrodesulphurisation (HDS), hydrodenitrogenation (HDN) and hydro-dearomatisation (HDA).

The nanomaterials are in the form of nanofibers, nanowires, nanorods, nanoscrolls and/or nanotubes and are obtained from a hydrogen titanate and/or a mixed sodium and hydrogen titanate precursor compound that is isostructural to the JT crystalline structure. The titanates are the hydrogenated, the protonated, the hydrated and/or the alkalinized phases of the JT crystalline phase that are obtained from titanium compounds such as titanium oxide with an anatase crystalline structure, amorphous titanium oxide, and titanium oxide with a rutile crystalline structure, and/or directly from the rutile mineral and/or from ilmenite.
