An apparatus including a first end configured to connect to a control of an endoscope object removal tool; a second end having a connector configured to removably connect to a handle of an endoscope; and a spine connecting the first end to the second end. The spine comprises a plurality of serially interconnected members which are rotatable relative to each other. Connections of the members to one another comprise friction locks. The friction locks are configured to be temporarily unlocked by overcoming friction forces at the friction locks such that the spine is semi-flexible.

Endoscope tool position holder

An object removal tool including a basket device having a basket section; a sheath on the basket device, where the sheath is adapted to longitudinally slide on the basket device; and a control connected to the basket device and the sheath. The control is configured to longitudinally move the sheath on the basket device to close the basket section on an object.

Retrieval basket apparatus

An endoscope having a shaft with a deflectable section. The deflectable section has a plurality of rings movably connected in series to each other. The rings are connected to each other by first and second interlocking sections. The first interlocking sections have eyelet shaped sections. The second interlocking sections have tabs with sections larger than the windows in the eyelet shaped sections.
