A system including an airbag assembly for a vehicle is disclosed. The airbag assembly includes a housing supporting the airbag, an inflation device ('inflator') in fluid communication with the airbag for inflating the airbag from an uninflated position to an inflated position, a tether fixed to the airbag that helps control the deployment and inflation of the airbag, and a tether lid configured to open in order to release the tether during deployment. The tether lid is installed in a pillar garnish of the vehicle, and is opened in response to the force of the tether as it is pulled by the deploying airbag.

An autonomous vehicle includes a vehicle body, a side curtain airbag mounted by the vehicle body, and a roof lining mounted to the vehicle body via an attachment structure. The attachment structure includes a bracket fastened to the vehicle body and the roof lining includes a mating hole aligned with the bracket. A cap at least partially received within the mating hole from an exterior surface of the roof lining is directly fastened to the bracket. A cover for covering the mating hole from the exterior surface of the roof lining is connected to the cap.

An overhead display system for a vehicle is disclosed. The system includes a trim panel, a set of brackets, and a plurality of display units. The brackets are disposed within an interior region of the trim panel, and the display units are mounted on the brackets through openings formed in the trim panel. The display units are arranged such that a pair of screens can be oriented in both a rearward-facing direction and a forward-facing direction. The system is configured as a module that can be readily installed in a roof structure of a vehicle.

A vehicle assembly includes a vehicle body including an interior panel, a seat having a frame fixed to the panel, and a seat energy absorber operably associated with the seat and including a backing and a bracket. The backing is formed from the vehicle body and positioned separated from the seat to define a space between the seat and the backing along a length of the panel, and the bracket is mounted in the space on at least one of the seat and the backing such that a proximal end portion of the bracket is located closer to the seat than the backing, and a distal end portion of the bracket is located closer to the backing than the seat. During a crash event a section of the panel is configured to collapse against the seat when the seat is driven toward the panel relative to the vehicle body.

An automated vehicle includes a vehicle body defining a storage area located rearward of a rearmost vehicle seat in a front-rear direction of the automated vehicle. An interior structure is located in the storage area. The interior structure defines a storage compartment for housing an electronic component of the automated vehicle. The interior structure includes a removable floor panel overlying the storage compartment and a wall panel extended upward from the floor panel in a height direction of the automated vehicle. The storage compartment includes a dedicated space for the electronic component, the dedicated space located forward of a forward edge portion of the floor panel in the front-rear direction and between the wall panel and the rearmost vehicle seat in the front-rear direction.

A seal for sealing a gap between a seat back of a seat in a vehicle, the seat back including a fabric construction, and a shelf located adjacent the seat back includes a trim member laterally spanning from a first distal end of an engagement edge of the shelf that engages with the seat back of the seat to a second distal end of the engagement edge of the shelf. The trim member includes a seal member laterally spanning and attached to the trim member that engages with the seat back. The seal member is constructed of an unwoven fabric material.

The disclosure provides a seat for an automotive vehicle, including a seat bottom frame, a seat back frame rotatably coupled with the seat bottom frame and a limit switch assembly. The limit switch assembly comprises a limit switch configured to prevent rotation of the seat back when the limit switch is opened, a link moveable from a first position in which the limit switch is closed to a second position in which the limit switch is open, and a bias member configured to impart a bias force on the link in a direction toward the first position. The disclosure also provides a method of reclining the seat.

An automotive vehicle including a folding rear compartment seat, the seat resides adjacent the vehicle body. The vehicle body includes a latch assembly accessible via a slot. A seat belt retractor is disposed within the vehicle body above the slot. A seat belt webbing extends from the retractor. The seat is comprised of a seat back and a seat base with a pivot interconnecting the back and base. An assembly including a striker and a webbing guide is secured to the seat back. The assembly comprises a first arm mounted to the seat back and engaging the striker element and a second arm adapted to receive the seat belt webbing.
