A method of manufacturing an aqueous freshening composition having a plurality of particles suspended by a structurant system is provided. The method includes the steps of: mixing an aqueous carrier and at least 80 wt. % of ion-forming water-soluble ingredients of the freshening composition to form an aqueous premix; subsequently mixing a first polysaccharide into the aqueous premix; mixing a second polysaccharide into the aqueous premix after mixing the first polysaccharide into the aqueous premix to form a structured aqueous composition; and dispersing a plurality of particles into the structured aqueous composition to form the freshening composition.

A freshening composition is provided. The composition includes at least one particle, and an aqueous carrier. The composition includes a polysaccharide system having a first polysaccharide and a second polysaccharide. The first polysaccharide is xanthan gum and the second polysaccharide is selected from the group consisting ofgum, locust bean gum, tara gum, and combinations thereof. The composition may include an unencapsulated perfume.

Phase-stable, sprayable freshening compositions comprising suspended particles

A freshening composition is provided. The composition includes at least one particle, and an aqueous carrier. The composition includes a polysaccharide system having a first polysaccharide and a second polysaccharide. The first polysaccharide is xanthan gum and the second polysaccharide is selected from the group consisting of konjac gum, locust bean gum, and combinations thereof. The composition may include an unencapsulated perfume.

The method comprises the steps of: providing a freshening composition, the freshening composition comprising a plurality of particles and a structurant system; and spraying the freshening composition in the form of a plurality of spray droplets, wherein the plurality of spray droplets have: a normalized D(90) value of less than 2.5, when sprayed from a TS800 sprayer according to the SPRAY D(90) NORMALIZED AND SPRAY D(4,3) NORMALIZED TEST METHOD described herein, a residue value of less than about 8 at 5 sprays, according to the RESIDUE TEST METHOD described herein, and a phase stability grade of 1 or 2, according to the PHASE STABILITY GRADE AT 25&#xb0; C. TEST METHOD described herein.

Sprayable freshening product comprising suspended particles and methods of freshening the air or a surface with the same

A freshening composition is provided. The freshening composition includes a plurality of particles, a structurant system, and an aqueous carrier. The composition has a spray shear viscosity, as measured according to the SPRAY SHEAR VISCOSITY TEST METHOD described herein, of less than about 0.025 Pa-s. The composition has a creep recovery ratio of at least about 0.1, as measured according to the CREEP RECOVERY RATIO TEST METHOD described herein, or a yield stress of greater than 0 Pa and less than 1.0 Pa, as measured by the YIELD STRESS TEST METHOD described herein.

Phase-stable, sprayable freshening compositions comprising suspended particles and methods of freshening the air or a surface with the same

Freshening compositions comprising a malodor binding polymer and an aqueous carrier, wherein the composition is essentially free of any material that would soil or stain fabric; and methods thereof are provided. In some embodiments, the malodor binding polymer comprises a homopolymeric polyethylenimine having a molecular weight of about 1,000 to about 2,000,000. In some embodiments, the freshening composition includes a buffering agent providing a pH of about 6 to about 8. Such freshening compositions may be used to reduce malodor and/or microbes on inanimate surfaces or in the air.
