The invention relates to a pocket tool with a housing, a compartment region, pins () and an implement () interchangeably mounted on one of the pins () by means of a coupling mechanism () and which can be moved by means of a pivot bearing () between an inwardly pivoted transport position and an outwardly pivoted functional position, which is mounted against a spring element and can be moved relative to the pin () into an uncoupling position and removed from the pocket tool. The coupling mechanism () has a guide track guiding the implement () in the uncoupling position at an angle with respect to a longitudinal axis () of the housing () during its uncoupling movement along the compartment region. The housing has oppositely lying side walls, which respectively have convex gripping cams () on their top face projecting out beyond the external contour of the implement () when moved into the transport position and disposed symmetrically about the longitudinal axis () of the housing (), the geometry of which is dimensioned so that in the uncoupling position, a part-length of the implement () lies within the compartment region and is covered by the side walls.

The invention specifies a pocket tool, particularly a pocket knife () or plate-like tool card, comprising a housing () with at least one receiving area (), and at least two functional components () movable from a storage position within the receiving area (), into a working position outside of the receiving area (). The first functional component () is designed as a tool, particularly a pair of scissors () or knife (). The second functional component () has a support casing () and is equipped with a recordable and readable, nonvolatile memory, as well as with an interface (). A releasable locking device and a longitudinal guide or pivot bearing are arranged between the support casing () of the second functional component () and the housing ().

Pocket tool

An operational tools carrier, such as a pocketknife or a tool card, having a portion formed from a transparent or translucent material has been found to have various functional benefits in addition to the clear ornamental effects of transparency/translucenary. A pocketknife typically has a retaining body or frame in which tools can be stored. The frame has two side walls that lie opposite each other and that have been separated from each other by means of narrow side faces and front faces. A scale is provided on at least one of the side walls typically has retaining areas for removably holding operational tools, e.g., tools, knives, scissors. The side wall or scale forming the side wall is transparent in at least one partial area. A flat tool card formed from two plates coupled together to form a retaining are therebetween for strong flat tools thereon. A compound, multiple function, foldable tool having first and second handles, a tool head with pivotable jaw members, and a plurality of additional tools. The tool head are stored within first channels on first sides of the handles, and the additional tools are stored within second channels on second sides of the handles opposite the first sides. Thus, when the tool head is used, the additional tools do not interfere with gripping of the handles during use of the tool head. Moreover, because of the position of the additional tools, these tools are easily accessible while the tool head is in the storage position. The compound tool may also include a ratchet and an adapter and coupler that fit on the ratchet or at least one of the additional tools so that even further tools may be fit on the compound tool. An easy to read full length, straight edge ruler may optionally be provided on the top and bottom surfaces of the handles. Preferably, an individual spring is provided for each tool to prevent further pivoting of the selected tool away from the storage channels once the tool is extended into a working position. A spring lock mechanism may also be provided to prevent the undesired return of an extended tool into the storage position until the lock is released.

The invention relates to an especially handy and user-friendly multiple purpose tool for the sport of golf, which is light yet solidly built. Operation of the pitch fork is done with one hand, as well as the removal and insertion of the ball marker. The blade of a new kind of tee hole puncher for hard or frozen ground also serves for cleaning the flutes of the golf club. It is also combined with additional functional elements like nail files, cap openers, and the like. The economically manufacturable tool can also include, for general use, a knife blade, a scissors, a pincer, a tooth pick, a ball point pen, and other tools as the case may be.

This invention relates to a multi-purpose pocket tool which may incorporate for instance one or two knife blades, a Philips screwdriver, a pair of pliers, scissors, a cap remover, a can opener, tweezers and the like and, according to this invention, a bit holder shaft and a bit cartridge for single- or double-ended bits suitable for use on electrical devices and especially computers. The tool according to this invention is small in size and weight, easy to handle, and extremely versatile.

Multiple purpose tool

A pocket-knife having a blade which is pivotable between open and closed positions, and which is lockable in the open position, is disclosed. The pocket-knife comprises a handle, a knife blade pivotaly mounted at one end of the handle, a beam spring extending substantially along the length of the handle, and a locking device for locking the knife blade in the open position. The beam spring is pivotally mounted for limited rocking movement within the handle. The beam spring includes a recess for receiving a retractable locking member of the locking device, a projection or ratchet tooth cooperating with the locking member, and cam guide cooperating with a tang portion of the knife blade to control the pivoting of the knife blade. When the knife blade is in its extended position, a spring urges the locking member into the recess of the beam spring. The projection on the beam spring abuts against the locking member, thereby preventing the rocking movement of the beam spring and retraction of the blade until the locking member is removed from the recess.
