A nonwoven abrasive wheel comprising one or more layers of a nonwoven fiber web, a plurality of super abrasive particles having a Vickers hardness greater than 40 GPa, a polyurethane binder adhering the plurality of super abrasive particles to the nonwoven fibers and adhering the layers of the nonwoven fiber web to each other, and wherein the nonwoven abrasive wheel comprises a Flexural Modulus from 4.0 to 128.0 lb/inch of thickness per inch of displacement.

Nonwoven abrasive wheel

The present inventions is directed to a method of polishing a workpiece. The method comprises providing an abrasive article, the abrasive article comprising superabrasive particles within agglomerates. The method then comprises contacting the abrasive article with a workpiece outer surface, the workpiece outer surface comprising a thermal spray hard phase, and relatively moving the abrasive article and the workpiece. The workpiece outer surface may further comprises a bonding phase. The abrasive article may be a continuous belt, an abrasive tape or a resin bonded disk.

Abrasive article with agglomerates and method of use

An abrasive article is provided comprising a rigid backing having a first major surface and a second major surface; a plurality of ceramic abrasive composites each comprising a plurality of abrasive particles distributed throughout a porous ceramic matrix; and at least one metal coating which affixes the ceramic abrasive composites to at least one major surface of the backing.
