Methods and devices for determining a load vector on an object are disclosed herein. An example method includes collecting location observations related to the object. The example method further includes filtering the location observations to determine an estimated model path. The example method further includes outputting a set of data from the estimated model path, wherein the set of data includes a model location, a model velocity, a model acceleration, and a model jerk. The example method further includes calculating a load vector from the set of data, scaling the load vector via a scaling index, and transmitting the scaled load vector to a remote device.

A radio frequency exchange utilization calculation method in wireless medium that comprises identifying a plurality of packet counters pertaining to each of a plurality of transmission speeds and to each of a plurality of components of the wireless medium, identifying a plurality of octet counters pertaining to each of a plurality of transmission speeds and to each of a plurality of components of the wireless medium, incrementing each packet counter by one in accordance to the speed a data packet is transmitted, incrementing each plurality of octet counters by a number of octets in the data packet, calculating a packet weighted effective bit rate, calculating an octet weighted effective bit rate, calculating a total data exchanged, and calculating a percentage for the radio frequency exchange performance.

RF utilization calculation and reporting method for 802.11 wireless local area networks

Described is a system comprising a computing device, a wireless computing unit and a network management arrangement ('NMA'). The NMA receives a first signal and a second signal from the computing device. The NMA forwards the second signal to the unit and receives a third signal from the unit which is an acknowledgment of receipt of the second signal. The NMA determines a first time value indicative of a difference between a time of receipt of the first signal and a time of receipt of the second signal. The NMA compares the first time value to a first threshold range to generate a first output data. The NMA determines a second time value indicative of a difference between a time of transmission of the second signal and a time of receipt of the third signal. The NMA compares the second time value to a second threshold range to generate second output data. The NMA executes a response procedure as a function of at least one of the first and second output data.
