A database system comprising a plurality of access keys stored in a first data memory device sector, each access key associated with a node value stored in a second data memory device sector. An access key processor configured to receive an input value and return the associated node value for the input value if the input value matches an access key stored in the first data memory device sector. The access key processor is configured to generate a revised input value if the input value does not match an access key stored in the first data memory device; a default node value stored in the second data memory device sector and associated with a portion of the input value, wherein the access key processor is configured to return the default node value as part of the revised input value.

Database hierarchical inheritance

A system for printing comprising a plurality of local printer applications operating on a processor, each configured to render a single associated file type for printing. A print through server application operating on the processor and configured to transmit a print job to an external processor for rendering. A system manager operating on the processor and configured to transmit a file to one of the plurality of local printer applications if the file has a file type that is identical to the file type associated with one of the local printer applications, and to transmit the file to the print through server application if the file type of the file does not match any of the file types for the local printer applications.

System and method to print documents and images that are not natively supported by the printer

Regular expression selection for configurable application data steering

Disclosed herein are various embodiments of an application specific integrated circuit (ASIC). The ASIC includes a plurality of functional units. Each functional unit may include a plurality of connections. The ASIC may also include a plurality of input and/or output pins configured to couple the ASIC to a circuit board. A programmable client may be associated with each pin, and each programmable client may be programmed to selectively connect the pin with which it is associated to one of the plurality of connections of one of the plurality of functional units. In various embodiments, the programmable client may be embodied as a multiplexer or a crossbar switch. Further, the programmable client may be programmed using any of boot firmware, hardware jumpers, and/or non-volatile programming registers.

General purpose pin mapping for a general purpose application specific integrated circuit (ASIC)

A memory of allocating memory for use by a subfunction of a computer chip, wherein the subfunction uses contiguous memory regions, the method comprising the steps of (a) creating a placeholder for contiguous memory buffers used by the subfunction of the chip by reserving a region of memory subsystem space, wherein the region does not need to be backed by true physical storage and the size is at least as large as the contiguous memory buffer required by the subfunction, (b) allocating pages of remaining memory in the memory subsystem to satisfy the amount of memory required by the subfunction, wherein the allocated pages do not necessarily result in a contiguous memory region, (c) remapping the allocated pages of step b into a contiguous region of the placeholder created in step a and (d) disabling the remapping after the subfunction is completed to free the memory in the placeholder.
