A dispensing system includes a first chamber and a second chamber, where each chamber includes an inlet port configured to receive a flowable material and an outlet port configured to dispense the flowable material. The system also includes a first displacement rod slidably disposed in the first chamber. The system also includes a second displacement rod slidably disposed in the second chamber, wherein the first displacement rod is rigidly connected to the second displacement rod.

Dispensing and metering system

A metering system for controlling the flow of a fluid is disclosed. The metering system comprises a metering device, two input valves that actively control flow of fluid into the metering device, and two output valves that actively control flow of fluid from the metering device. The input and output valves are selectively opened and closed to cause metered amounts of fluid to be dispensed from the metering device through the output valves.

An apparatus imparts movement to a fluid dispersing nozzle with a mechanism for converting rotational movement about an axis of rotation into orbital movement about the axis of rotation, and an elongate member is connectable to the mechanism at one end and is connectable to a fluid nozzle at an opposite end from the mechanism. The orbital member provides orbiting movement of the opposite end in response to rotation of the mechanism about the rotational axis, and provides stationary centered positioning of the opposite end in response to a non-rotating mechanism. A speed multiplier transmission or gearbox can be provided between the motor shaft and drive spindle if desired. A separate mixer is positionable within the member and is moveable longitudinally with respect to the member during use. The mixer includes a valve member connected to one end for movement relative to a valve seat defined by an inner surface of the cone.

A multiple orifice applicator system for dispensing a plurality of rows of fluid material onto a work piece is disclosed. A source of fluid material is in fluid communication with the multiple orifice applicator. The multiple orifice applicator is mounted to a robotic arm, which positions the multiple orifice applicator relative to the work piece to enable the multiple orifice applicator to dispense fluid material onto the work piece. Fluid material is caused to flow from the source of fluid material into the multiple orifice applicator. The fluid material enters the multiple orifice applicator through an inlet port and is dispersed and spread out in a dispersing chamber. The fluid material is dispensed onto the work piece through a plurality of outlet orifices in the multiple orifice applicator.

Multiple orifice applicator system and method of using same

An applicator dispenses a pressurized fluid to a workpiece to be processed with an elongate housing having a first end and a second end. An enlarged annular flange extends radially from adjacent the first end of the housing and is connectable to a source of pressurized fluid. A tapered cone is formed on the second end to define a reduced diameter relative to the housing to enable streaming of the pressurized fluid to be applied. A separate mixer is positionable within the housing. Preferably, the mixer is moveable longitudinally with respect to the housing during use. The mixer includes a valve member connected to one end for movement relative to a valve seat defined by an inner surface of the cone. The valve member moveable between an opened position and a closed position. A piston is connected to an opposite end of the mixer from the cone to move the mixer longitudinally within the housing. The piston is moveable within a chamber between first and second end limits of movement.

The invention relates to a double acting metering and dispensing apparatus for high viscosity materials having a cylinder and a piston reciprocally movable within the cylinder having a charging and discharging stroke and forming proportioning expandable and contractible chambers such that for every stroke of the piston, a measured amount of viscous material is dispensed to the appropriate dispensing area.

A mixer for mixing fluid materials such as an adhesive resin and a catalyst as the materials flow from separate supply sources to a dispensing nozzle includes a disc like rotor having a plurality of balls of uniform diameter fixedly mounted in the rotor to project symmetrically from opposite sides of the rotor. The rotor is driven in rotation within a cylindrical chamber having walls providing small clearances for the rotor, the chamber having a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet in the opposed chamber end walls coaxial with the rotor. The balls are arranged in a pattern which thoroughly mixes the fluid while imposing a minimum restriction to the flow of fluid through the mixer.
