A method of connecting a cable of a winch mounted on a front of a vehicle to an object to the rear of the vehicle includes removably placing a first support member including a first cable guide member extending from the first support member on a first surface of the vehicle so that the first support member contacts the surface of the vehicle. The method further include extending the cable from the winch rearward to be seated in the first cable guide member and to extend rearward therefrom. The method also include connecting the cable to the object to the rear of the vehicle.

Adaptation of a front winch device on a vehicle to raise a load to the rear of a vehicle

A protector switch is added in the power supply to open on failure of the door interlock switch to open when the oven door is opened. The monitor switch that closes as the door opens, after the door switch should open, will if the latter does not occur create a power short-circuit ahead of the oven; in this circuit there is a heat responsive electrical resistance element that mechanically holds the protector switch closed against a switch opening bias. Such element will fail under the short circuit current and release the protector switch to shut off the power to the oven. The resistance element can be a wire of predetermined resistance, with current limiting capability, or an off-the-shelf control resistor.

Microwave oven interlock switch safety

An adjustable cycling switch has one condition for direct application of power to the primary winding of a transformer coupled at its secondary to energize a magnetron that provides microwaves in a microwave oven or the like. The cycling switch also has a second condition for variable adjustment to provide for periodic cyclical energization of the mentioned transformer and magnetron to reduce the effective average microwave power. During such cyclical energization of the transformer and magnetron, power is briefly supplied to the transformer through a surge protection or current limiting resistor at the beginning of each such cycle to reduce the high currents that may otherwise occur in the circuit which could damage switch contacts, the magnetron, and other circuit components; and afterwards full power is supplied and is later cut off.
