Systems and methods for a product driven approach to technology provisioning, operations, and billing are provided. Some embodiments provide an Information Technology (IT) business architecture built around the product driven methodology. This architecture can be designed to optimize the demand side provisioning of technology products to meet business intent and the execution of supply side assembly and implementation lifecycle. A technology model can be used that recursively decomposes services and products into various components. As a result, the technology model allows for effective and efficient provisioning, pricing, and impact assessment of the organization's technology to thereby drive the efficiency of scale and the automation of the provisioning, the finance, and the operation businesses. Moreover, by representing everything in technologies and products, including people, within the technology model, then determining the cost of the product and tracking usage provides an effective consumption-based Bill of IT.

Product driven approach to technology provisioning, operations, and billing

A cognitive platform, systems and methods for using knowledge to create information from data are disclosed. A cognitive stack supports the separation of enterprise knowledge, information and data into three distinct layers. The cognitive stack provides a curated representation of knowledge as an authoritative enterprise system of truth, which can be applied to enterprise relevant data to create meaningful enterprise information in a timely, scalable and sustainable fashion. In an embodiment, the system implements a transmission methodology capable of providing a knowledge contract to independent information creation agents, a horizontally scalable data transformation methodology for creating raw semantically normalized information from disparate data sources and a materialization methodology for creating flexible representations of addressable information structures from a single enterprise information store to support multiple enterprise cognitive use cases.

Cognitive platform for using knowledge to create information from data

A message routing system that allows applications at either end of the system to run as-is without modification. The system functions in a multithreaded environment and is capable of handling complex routing rules and message transformation. It is also capable of learning and executing new routing rules and message transformations in formats previously unrecognized by the system. The system enables precise and reliable logging of messages throughout processing and supports publication of enterprise-wide broadcast messages. The system further preferably employs cooperating inbound and outbound transport processes for consuming, routing, processing, safely storing and publishing messages in batches of logical units of work to ensure that the logical units of work are not lost in system transactions. The system also preferably utilizes a replay server for preserving and replaying messages that might otherwise fail to reach their intended destinations.

System and method for message processing and routing
