A method of making a tree injection device includes identifying a species specific depth at which phloem is located beneath a tree's bark and preparing a tree injection device. The tree injection device has a head defining an input opening for receiving the solution and a shank. A shank of the device has a radially constricted section positioned between a first radially enlarged section and a second radially enlarged section. An output opening for delivering the solution is defined by the radially constricted section and is formed at a distance from a collar substantially equal to the depth.

Tree injection methods

A tree injection device configured to inject a solution into a tree has a head defining an input opening for receiving the solution and a shank. The shank has a generally circumferential surface elongated along an axis and extending from the head to a pointed end opposite the head. The generally circumferential surface has a radially constricted section positioned between a first radially enlarged section and a second radially enlarged section. The first radially enlarged section and second radially enlarged section have substantially equal diameter. An output opening for delivering the solution is defined by the radially constricted section and is in fluid communication with the input opening by a passageway defined by an interior of the shank.

Tree injection system

A method of fertilizing a plant comprises applying to a plant an effective amount of a composition comprising a product of a salicylic acid, a potassium polyphosphite, a potassium phosphite, and a potassium phosphate. The composition may be prepared by reacting salicylic acid, ammonium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide and/or potassium carbonate, phosphoric acid, and phosphorous acid.

Dual purpose agricultural compositions

The fertilizer composition is useful as a fertilizer, fungicide, and bactericide when applied to plants. A method of making the fertilizer composition is also disclosed.

Bactericidal and fungicidal phosphite compositions and related methods

A composition which provides bactericidal, fungicidal and insecticidal activity when treating plants with effective amounts. A process for the manufacture of an aqueous composition that is a combination of a fungicide and fertilizer comprising the following steps: Using a similar process a composition having fungicidal properties is prepared by reaction phosphoric acid with potassium hydroxide. The reaction mixtures prepared according to each of the above processes are also part of this invention.
