In combination for use in a vehicle having a front, a back and sides to level the vehicle relative to gravity. A plurality of devices each disposed at an individual position relative to the vehicle and in displaced relationship to the other devices for adjusting the vertical position of the vehicle relative to gravity in accordance with the operation of pairs of adjacent devices. A sensor disposed relative to the vehicle for sensing the tilting of the vehicle from a level disposition relative to gravity. An operating structure responsive to the sensor for operating pairs of adjacent devices in a particular order to obtain an adjustment in the vertical position of the vehicle from side to side and front to back to obtain a resultant leveling of the vehicle relative to gravity.

Automatic leveling system

A valve control unit for use in a valve control system of the type wherein a plurality of valves each mounting a valve control unit are controlled by a remote controller and only a single electrical cable runs from the controller. Each control unit is adapted to transmit data as to the position of its valve and to receive data as to the desired position of its valve. The valve control unit comprises electronic circuit means for communicating with the controller, and first and second sensors. The first sensor provides a signal to the circuit means when the valve is in a first predetermined position. The second sensor provides a signal to the circuit means when the valve is in a second predetermined position. The electronic circuit means is adapted to report to the controller the condition of each of the sensors.

Valve control unit and system for use therewith

There is provided an electronic monitoring device for indicating when the stopping time or stopping distance of a brake adapted to stop the motion of the power press drive system exceeds a preselected time or distance. In accordance with one aspect of this device, there is provided means for creating a selected number of control pulses having a time spacing between successive control pulses inversely proportional to the rotational velocity of the press shaft, a digital counter having an input for counting pulses and means for starting the counter upon creation of a stop signal for the press, means for creating counting pulses having a known time base frequency, means for directing the counting pulse to the input of the digital counter, means for creating a first signal when the digital counter has counted to a selected number, means for creating a second signal when the time spacing of successive control pulses exceeds a preselected time and indicating means actuated upon creation of the first signal before creation of the second signal.

Electronic monitoring device for power press brakes and similar devices

There is provided an improvement in a digital counting system including a digital counter which counts up when an incoming pulse is received on one terminal and counts down when an incoming pulse is received on another terminal and means for passing five of six incoming pulses to each of the terminals. This type of counting system is used in totalizing time when driven by a sixty cycle line current. The improvement is the provision of a sequence control means for both the up and down incoming pulses to inhibit one out of each six pulses at identical progressively totalized counting positions so that the up/down counter tracks identically as it is counting up and down.
