An arrangement for an injection pump in an internal combustion engine, especially a large diesel engine, in which the injection pump (2) is provided with a pressure medium controlled feed control valve (11), the flow circuit of which includes a pressure medium source (14), from which pressure medium is pumped through a delivery duct (16a) into a feed duct (17, 18, 20, 21, 22, 22a), which is provided with a non-return valve (23) and is connected to a pressure chamber (13) affecting said control valve (11) and to a spill passage (24) to be switched off by means of a solenoid valve (25), whereby closing of the solenoid valve (25) is arranged to provide a pressure increase in the pressure chamber (13) and, thus, a change of the state of the control valve (11). Said feed duct (17, 18, 20, 21, 22, 22a) between the delivery duct (16a) and the control valve (11) is dimensioned to be relatively thin and long and is arranged at least to its main part to be a stationary part of the injection pump (2), of its supporting construction (3) or of a stationary construction unit to be attached to these. Hereby a compact assembly can be provided.

Arrangement for a injection pump in an internal combustion engine

An improved lubrication arrangement for a piston member arranged to be reciprocatingly movable in a cylinder element of an injection pump for fuel or the like pressure medium, wherein lubricant is supplied under pressure into a lubrication groove arranged in the cylinder element and encircling the piston member. The flow-through of the lubricant is improved by providing the cylinder element with at least one channel extending in the longitudinal direction of the cylinder element, which channel is connected with the lubrication groove for leading lubricant continuously into another position on the mantle surface of the piston member at a distance from the lubrication groove further to be recovered and for possible recirculation.

Arrangement for the lubrication of the piston member of a fuel injection

The invention relates to a method, and to an engine for applying the method, for testing different substances, such as lubrication substances, cooling substances and/or fuels or the like, in a combustion engine, especially in a big diesel engine, which comprises at least two, preferably several cylinders. According to the invention at least for the part of one cylinder the supply and circulation of at least one substance is arranged separately and sealed from the corresponding substance systems for the other cylinders of the engine, and for the part of said cylinder the composition and/or some physical property, for instance temperature, of said substance to be supplied is changed in comparison with the substance to be circulated simultaneously in the corresponding substance system for the other cylinders in the engine. Additionally for testing of lubrication and cooling substances the part of the crankshaft and of the crankcase of the engine corresponding to said cylinder is sealed by means of partitions tightly from the parts of the crankshaft and of the crankcase corresponding to the adjoining cylinders and is provided at the position between said partitions with separate supply and distribution ducts for lubrication and cooling substances.
