Certain embodiments herein relate to a physiological parameter monitoring system. The system may include a sensor and sensor electronics connectable to the sensor. The system may also include a transmitter operably connected to the sensor electronics, the transmitter having or being configured to have at least a portion thereof positioned at a first location adjacent to and/or in contact with an external surface of a body of a host during a sensor session, the transmitter further configured to wirelessly transmit sensor information using human body communication. The system may further include a first display device comprising a display and a receiver, the receiver having or being configured to have at least a portion thereof positioned at a second location adjacent to and/or in contact with the external surface of the body during the sensor session, the receiver further configured to receive sensor information from the transmitter using human body communication.

An analyte sensor system is provided. The system includes a base configured to attach to a skin of a host. The base includes an analyte sensor configured to generate a sensor signal indicative of an analyte concentration level of the host, a battery, and a first plurality of contacts. The system includes a sensor electronics module configured to releasably couple to the base. The sensor electronics module includes a second plurality of contacts, each configured to make electrical contact with a respective one of the first plurality of contacts, and a wireless transceiver configured to transmit a wireless signal based at least in part on the sensor signal. The system includes a first sealing member configured to provide a seal around the first and second plurality of contacts within a first cavity. Systems and methods for power management in analyte sensor system

Systems, devices, and methods for adjusting rotational limits of an orthopedic brace hinge are provided. A hinge stop assembly limits rotational travel of first and second frame members of the hinge. An indexing key of the hinge stop assembly is actuatable in a direction parallel to the axis of rotation of the hinge to lock and unlock the position of the hinge stop assembly relative to the hinge. Actuation of the hinge stop assembly unlocks the indexing key and allows movement of the hinge stop assembly to set a desired limit on the flexion or extension of the brace hinge. Release of the hinge stop assembly locks the indexing key and locks the hinge stop assembly in place.

Hinge for an orthopedic brace

An osteoarthritis brace having relatively large semi-rigid cuffs for abutting the wearer's thigh and calf. In one embodiment, the semi-rigid cuffs are secured to rigid cuffs of the brace only on one side and in substantially a center of the rigid cuffs. The semi-rigid cuffs bear reaction forces created by a medial/lateral force applied to the wearer's knee by a hinge of the brace. The semi-rigid cuffs provide flesh containment, distribute loads over a large portion of the wearer's flesh, eliminate pinch points and provide enhanced fitting capabilities.
